Project Opportunity

▪ Leverage DC solar REC prices

• All sites are within DC or believed to be on DC feeders

▪ High solar generation potential

• Conservative estimate of 5 MW

• Potentially between 7-9 MW

▪ Active community solar programs in DC and MD for potential off-take

▪ 30% design and engineering drawings completed by Metro

Project Description

▪ Seeking grid-connected (not “behind-the-meter”) solar PV system

• Will interconnect directly to Pepco distribution system

▪ Turnkey solution

• Developer to finance, procure, construct, operate, maintain, and decommission

▪ 15 year lease, with two (2) five-year renewal options

▪ Type: Surface parking lot and parking

garage rooftops


▪ Estimated Hosting Capacity: 3.5+ MW

▪ System size limit (CSEGS): 2+2 MW for

two tie-in locations

▪ Current total parking spaces: 1,980

▪ Type: Parking garage rooftop

▪ Area for Solar PV is 2.9 acres


▪ System size limit (CREF): 5 MW

*Ground lease may require WMATA Board approval and FTA concurrence

▪ Various factors will be considered

• Past project experience and team

• Implementation plan and schedule

• Technical capabilities

• Price proposal
