LakePoint is a 1,200-acre, mixed-use sporting complex that will be one of the world’s largest amateur sporting facilities.

The state-of-the-art sports complex can host competitions for more than 20 sports. It also features more than 5 million square feet of space for retail, hotels, dining, offices and medical units.

To establish durable, portable retail outlets, they contacted Ikoniq. We offered a combination of repurposed shipping containers (20’) and purpose-built containers (10’), which were our own design.

A 10-foot-long shipping container weighs about 2,400 pounds. There are more than 17 million of them, in various sizes, across the globe—many rusting away unused. This is a purpose-built container that is an Ikoniq design.

Because they are designed to be incredibly rugged, they suit well for virtually any outdoor application.

LakePoint’s intended application was to provide retail space from which to sell its own wares as well as those of partner brands.

Overheads can be raised and lowered with hydraulic assistance.

The four walls of the container can be set up as many different doors, even hinged ones that can be expanded into greater space to display merchandise.
