2014 NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE (NSPC)

TO: Schools Division Superintendents

Asst. Schools Division Superintendents

Division Journalism Coordinators

1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 9, s. 2014, DepEd Region XII announces that the 2014 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) will be held on April 7-10, 2014 in

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Free Port Zone. The host region is Region III, and the host divisions are Olongapo City and Zambales. This years theme is Campus and Transformational Leadership.

2. The official Region XII delegation shall consist of the two hundred sixty eight (268)

participants whose names appear in Inclosure No. 1 of this Memorandum. The delegates are expected to be in the venue at 8:00 a.m. on April 7 (Monday) and to leave 12:00 noon on April 10 (Thursday).

3. Each participant included in the official list shall pay a registration fee of Four Thousand Pesos (PhP4000.00) charged to the school Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE)/local/regional funds/SEF or the School Campus Journalism Fund, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

4. Non-contestants, parents and other school officials who are not part of the official regional delegation are not allowed to stay nor be accommodated at the billeting quarters assigned to Region XII; hence, they are to seek their own accommodation

outside the billeting quarters. Division journalism coordinators shall be held accountable for violation of this delegation policy.

5. Attached is the official list of participants for Region XIIs delegation for your

reference and guidance.

6. For further information on conference activities and other related matters, please download DepEd Memorandum No. 9, s. 2014.

7. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum to the concerned is desired.
