Characteristics of Living Things

All livings things do the following things:

1. They grow.

2. They move.

3. They feed.

4. They excrete.

5. They reproduce.

6. They are sensitive to their surroundings.

Why is Reproduction Important?

Reproduction is important to organisms because this is the way to keep

the population going. If there is not enough reproduction, the plant or

animal may become endangered or even extinct. Therefore

reproduction is important to living things because without it, that

organism wouldn't live.

Why is Excretion Important ?

Excretion is important to organisms because this is the way the way the

get rid of waste.

Why is Sensitivity Important?

Living things are sensitive to their environment. This means that they detect and respond to events in the world around them.

Why is Sensitivity Important?

Living things are sensitive to their environment. Sensitivity is important because it allows living things to detect and respond to events in the world around them.
