Reproduction is the production of new

organisms.

Types of reproduction

• Asexual reproduction: it is the biological process by which an organism creates an identical copy of itself. Only 1 parent or 1 cell is involved.

• Sexual reproduction: in this case two parents or two cells are needed. The new organism is different to its parents (even if it has some information from each of the parents).
