KGIMOA-2011: ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING

The 23rd Annual general body meeting of KGIMOA was

held at Thrissur Lulu International convention centre on 6-02-2011.

The official meeting is chaired by KGIMOA president Dr. A.P.

Mohammed.

The chief guest of the occasion was P.C. Chako, M.P.

Dr.E.R.Ramesh, organising chairman, welcomed all the

participants on behalf of Thrissur unit.

During his presidential address Dr. A.P. Mohammed touched each

and every corner of association activities, and thanked all themembers. During the speech he clearly told that KGIMOA will go to

any extent to prevent the so called formation of state ESI board.ESI

allowance is the right of the ESI doctors and we will fight for it. ESI

Corporation should call state wise option from doctors to fill the

posts in absorbing hospitals. At the same time the losing posts due

to central absorption should retain in state service.

After this speech P.C.Chako, M.P inaugurated the function by

lighting the lamp. In his key note address, the M.P clearly stated

that he will be with us to protect our rights.

Labour minister’s message was read in the occasion. In that 

message he thanked all the ESI doctors and explained the progress

of ESI during his period.

KGIMOA-2011 News Letter was released by Director of Insurance

Medical services Dr.M.Beenath. In her address she motivated all

the staff to work promptly.

Dr. Joy George of KGMOA felicitated the meet and pointed the

necessity of togetherness of KGMOA and KGIMOA. He also

thanked for the financial support. Dr.Sugathan, senior vice

president of IMA extended greeting for KGIMOA and assured all thehelp for association activities.

Dr.Shanavas of KGMCTA pointed out the PG Quota issues.

Dr. Mathews and Dr. Gopakumar also addressed the meet.

Dr. Anitha S Sindhu , Secretary KGIMOA expressed the vote of 

thanks.

At 2:30 pm State annual general body meeting started. The general

body unanimously passed the annual working report of secretary.

Then treasurer presented audited accounts for the year of 2010-

2011.After discussion general body unanimously passed accounts.

General body discussed various matters and took the following

decisions.

(1).If the pay revision anomalies are not rectified, go for agitationalong with KGMOA.

(2).Department should take necessary action to implement rural

and difficult rural norms to our service

(3).Anomalies in the PG quota should be corrected next year.

(4).Government should take necessary steps to start new hospitals

in our department, and restore the posts which are going to be

abolished by ESIC absorption.

(5).Department should publish seniority list of doctors in IMS

(6).ESI allowance should be revised as 20%of the basic pay and

implement with retrospective effect, if fails go for non cooperation

move in ESIC computerisation programme

(7).All the unit should complete collection of CRF with in this year

(8).Old building plot proposal was discarded.

(9).A new committee is formed to select building plot.

(10).Annual meetings will be held on 1st  Sunday of February from

next year onwards. Next Annual meeting will be at Kottayam

The office bearers requested to the annual body for placing our

beloved past president Dr.A.P.Mohammed as the patron for this

committee and the Annual general body sanctioned the request.President selected Dr.Sudheer Babu as the President’s nominee

 for this executive committee.

Presidents award for the best CRF collection unit is given to

Thrissur unit ,and best unit for the year of 2010 is awarded to

Kollam unit.

After the annual general body various dance and musicalprogrammes were performed.

With lucky dip draw the function ended.
