REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINING LICENCE
All mining licence holders must lodge the fol-lowing reports with the Director. The reports must be submitted in triplicate with a digital copy attached.
MONTHLY MINERAL RETURN
This is to be submitted for every calendar month from the date of the grant of lease. The report must be on the prescribed form ( Form 25, Mining Regulation 1992) detailing the production of minerals, if any , including particu-lars of quantity and value of the ore mined or treated and the quantity and value of minerals recovered.
MONTLY ROYALTY RETURN
This report is to be submitted for every calendar month with the monthly mineral return report. This report must provide details of the minerals won each month that are shipped /exported, prices and exchange rate at time of sale, expendi-ture, and the net revenue received from which royalty is calculated and paid to the different landowner groups. Details of royalty distribution is provided in this report
ANNUAL REPORTS Requirements are identical to that of EL annual reports
RELINQUISHMENT OR CANCELLATION REPORT
Requirements are identical to that of EL re-linquishment or cancellation report.

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR AN EXPLORATION LICENCE
All Exploration Licence Holders must lodge the following reports with the Director. The reports must be submitted in triplicate with a digital copy attached.
BI-ANNUAL REPORTS
(a) Bi-annual Prospecting Report
This is to be submitted for every six months calculated from the date of expiry, on cancellation and also on making an application to surrender the EL. The report must be on the prescribed form ( Form 22, Mining Regulation 1992) summarizing all works undertaken on or in connection with the EL since lodging the previous report.
b) Bi-annual Expenditure Report
This is to be submitted for every six months calculated from the date of expiry, on cancellation and also on making an application to surrender the EL. The report must be on the prescribed form (Form 23) summarizing all expendi-ture connected with the acquisition and interpretation of exploration data from the area of exploration licence, in-cluding related laboratory and feasibility work.
Bi-annul Reports are due 30 days ( 1 month) of the end of the reporting period. Bi-annual Reports are confidential and cannot be viewed by any person outside of MRA.
ANNUAL REPORTS
These are to be submitted for every 12 months calculated from the date of grant of the exploration licence. The An-nual Report must provide detailed information of all work undertaken on or in connection with the exploration licence as to convey accurately and comprehensively
• the aims of the works
• the procedures adopted
• and the conclusion reached. The report must contain all data which may be of rele-vance to the geology and mineral resources of the State.
Annual Reports are due within 90 days ( 3 months ) of the end of the reporting period. Annual reports are kept confi-dential until the exploration licence is cancelled , surren-dered or expired.
RELIQUISHMENT OR CANCELLATION REPORT
A report has to be submitted in respect of the period up to the date of
• relinquishment or surrender of whole or any potion of an EL • Or on expiry or cancellation of the EL
The report must summaries all work undertaken on or in con-nection with the whole or (as applicable) that potion of the relevant EL since the date of grant and which also meets the requirements of annual reports. These reports are available for the public to view and copy.
