OBSERVATIONS In Textile markets majority of shops are of wholesale trading, assisting the trading shops there are many packaging and transport agencies. Lack of loading unloading bays creates congestion inside the markets. Insufficient parking spaces for users in all market complexes except private plazas. Public toilets are inadequate. Encroachment of informal shops in markets leads to congestion during peak hours. In daily markets there were no facilities for storage. Since most of the markets are located in core areas, it attracts the freight movement in the city which may leads to accidents. Solid waste management is not efficient in daily markets leading to unhygienic condition and attracts cattle, but in cloth markets and wholesale trade markets the collection system is good and the occupants are satisfies with the service. Though daily markets are present in all the parts of the city, but people prefer to shop in markets which are situated in core part.
