REPORT ON VICENZA ORO WINTER, 23-28 JANUARY 2015
The Fiera Di Vicenza Winter January edition kick-started on 23rd January 2015.
The new concept VICENZAORO The Boutique Show won over exhibitors, buyers
and visitors. The new exhibitive format introduced with the VICENZAORO
January edition, met with enormous favour on the part of the industry's traders.
The new layout was especially appreciated for having facilitated business
meetings between buyers and companies thanks to subdividing the offer into six
highly identifiable clusters.
Fiera di Vicenza's 9 pavilions and 29,000 m² hosted over 1,500 brands, touching
on a grand total of over 33,000 visitors in the six days of the Show. With a
significant increase of 13% compared to the 2014 edition, 18,532 buyers passed
through the turnstiles. The number of foreign traders, which reached 8,361 from
122 countries, recording an 8% increase, confirmed Fiera di Vicenza's
international inclination and interest for Made in Italy jewellery. The number of
Italian traders, +18%, also increased reaching 10,171, a figure that encourages
optimism in terms of a possible recovery of the domestic market.
In terms of buyers' countries of origin, a general increase from the Euro zone, the
Balkan area and central-eastern Europe was recorded. A general growth also
from the Mediterranean basin and middle-eastern sub-continent. India and
China confirm the growing role of high-range markets. The United States
highlight renewed interest in Italian quality products as did Latin America.
The TREND FORUM display took place on January 24th on the Promenade of
Pavilion 1 - Look District, which, through a visual and physical path, allowed
visitors to undertake a journey into the future by discovering, through images
and suggestions, the Mega Trends for 2016. These are the trends that will
influence the design, production and distribution of contemporary jewellery,
inspired by social, cultural, political and environmental phenomena.
The show also featured T-GOLD 2015 which is one of the most prominent
technology and machinery show for the jewellery industry. The show featured
about 130 leading machinery companies. This international show is positioned as
an essential showcase to understand latest technological innovations and
machinery for the jewellery industry. The expo aimed to stress the indissoluble link
between creative capabilities and technology, where innovation affects the
production process all round. As T-GOLD is a focused technology and
machinery show, it was an ideal platform to network with the machinery
exhibitors.
