REPORT ON ‘SYMPOSIUM: TALK OF THE TITANS’ (Held on 1 st March’2017) DATE: 5 th March’2017 Venue: Auditorium, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Time: 12pm – 2pm Objective: Panel Discussion. The event “Symposium –Talk of Titans “was held on 1 st March 2017 in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. The Event was organized by IEEE RGIT and was brimming with a crowd of over 300 students. The panellists, coming from different backgrounds and industries, gave us an amazing blend of experience and professionalism. The Event started with the felicitation of distinguished guests. Our junior core member Sudin Varughese and Unnati Khatu, then took upon the stage to give the audience a brief introduction of our guests. The Panellist of the event was as follows: 1. Shruti Shah Kathuria: Director of Myinstalink.com, Entrepreneur in Real Estate. 2. Rajesh Mapuskar : Writer, Director and Producer. 3. Kautuk Srivastava :Writer and Comedian 4. Advait Waghmare : AVP ,Global Head –Oracle Fusion Middleware Practice at KPIT 5. Jayanta Sengupta : Author , Mentor and Consultant at United World School of Business The professionals spoke about their journey towards success, the hardships in their life and how they emerged out of obstacles of their life. It was followed by an Interactive Question-Answer session conducted by Anuj Mehta and Naquiyah Bharmal which gave the students an opportunity to know more about their experiences and the skills they developed on their way to victory. The event was concluded with hilarious Stand-up Comedy act by Mr Kautuk Srivastava on audience request.Junior core member Darshna Doshy ended the event token of appreciation to our esteemed guests.
This event inspired the students with the qualities and skills now expected out of the young engineers
from college, which are necessary in the real world scenario in order to gain an edge over the others in
today’s competitive environment.
