Introduction Rickshaw is a familiar means of transport for short distance in the
dhangadhi municipality which is livelihood for rural immigrates. The work was conducted to analysis the socio- economic
conditions of rickshaw pullers with objectives to assess the arrival and previous occupations, To examine age group, marital status, religion, and caste and analyze education level, major habits, residential conditions, facilities of rickshaw pullers in municipality area.
Data were collected through case study in 2070/11/10 from functions of the area, i.e. , residential area, sub-urban area too.
The rickshaw puller community was migrated, illiterate and poor rural people in majority who spent their nights in poor dwelling where civil amenities and facilities were absent or poor.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY Taking into consideration the significance of rickshaw pulling
in socio-economic lives of people at grass roots level, the study was undertaken in dhangadhi municipality with the following objectives.
To assess the arrival and previous occupations of the people who engaged in rickshaw pulling.
To know direct condition, status and livelihood of their family.To determine the health condition in daily life while in job.To find out the customer satisfation to his service.To examine age group, marital status, religion, and caste of
rickshaw pullers and so on.To analyze education level, major habits, residential
conditions, basic services and facilities of rickshaw pullers in dhangadhi city.

Rational of the studyThere are many obstacles in human beings
life to earn their livelihood. On the same way rickshaw pullers also faced to the many challenges in their daily life
For instance they have to be give continue on their works in order to leave the passenger in right place in right time and order.
Limitation of the studyThere always occurs many problem in the
way of any work . So we had also many limitation during the case study of the Rickshaw puller in circle of Dhangadhi municipality, direct form the rickshaw pullers.
DATA AND METHODOLOGYThe entire study is based on primary data, regarding the
socio-economic conditions of rickshaw pullers. It was generated through group study in 2070/11/10.. On the basis of stratified random sampling, 4 rickshaw
pullers randomly were selected and interviewed for detail information regarding their socio-economic conditions.
The direct questionnaire method was used to gather information from the respondents. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed with the simple statistical technique.
Maps and diagrams were prepared to represent the findings.
Rickshaw pullers by previous occupation The previous occupation is one of the
important indicators for analysis of socio-economic conditions of rickshaw pullers. Given fig. depicts that
25% rickshaw pullers were agricultural labourers,
20% followed by non-workers, 18% Farmers , and 11% construction labourers, 10% Textile Industry workers 7 % household, 4% hotel-restaurant workers, 3 % Sweepers and 2 % other workers. The proportion of agricultural
labourers was high due to not availability work for all seasons of the year in agriculture. However, among the rickshaw pullers 18% were engaged previously in agriculture as farmers due to less income, over crowding, high input cost and less output forced them to earn their supplement income by rickshaw pulling.

Rickshaw pullers by caste The caste system, with its societal
stratification and social restrictions continues are major impact on Dhangadhi social set. Given diagram reveals rickshaw pullers by caste
56% from the backward castes , 37% followed by general caste,7% from the schedule caste category
and 10% from the others The rickshaw pullers belonged to
backward caste, majority of them were from the lower caste. They were in more miserable conditions than that of schedule caste people .

Rickshaw pullers by religion Religion is vital factor as far as socio-
economic condition of such backward community is concerned because almost all the decisions of a person are determined by the religion.
Rickshaw puller Religion belonged to: 60% from the Hindu community 40% from the Christian religion. 5% from the Muslim to pulling service. 15% from the others religions High engagement of Hindu refers to
their unemployment and poverty, However, Christian and others is
considered to be comparatively less than Muslim religion even though the city is highly sensitive.

rickshaw pullers were is below the age of 45 years because this occupation needs more physical labour and insecure for after an age so a large number of migrated jobless young people joined the profession to earn livelihood. However, those pullers are above the 55 years they were in lesser.
Rickshaw pullers by marital status Marriage determines the reliability and
stability social life. Fig shows that share of married
rickshaw pullers was 70%, followed by unmarried (28%), widower/divorced (2%) respectively. Marriage is one of the pull factors those force unskilled worker to fill daily needs of the wife and children as rickshaw pulling provides more easily cash. However, a segment of them was as forced bachelor because they left their wives and children at the origin places and arrived to earn income. Similarly, due to poor socio- economic conditions and to earn the livelihood a chunk of population was single; they also left the country (native places) to earn money.
Rickshaw pullers by level of education Level of education indicates the degree of
social development. Table explains that illiteracy was common in
the rickshaw pullers’ community 74% falls under the group of Illiterate
whereas 26% is literate , So on 14 % were on Primary level of education 11% Middle level of education 1% only from the high School level of
education Most of them got primary or upper primary
level of education. It was found that rickshaw pullers were extremely backward regarding education. It was due to lower income, poverty, and lack of proper accessibility of the educational institutions and prevailing thinking about education as they considered to expense for education is unfruitful.

income of rickshaw pullers that majority of them
67% earned less than 2500 rupees per month; earning range 20% rickshaw was Rs 2500-3000 per month
while 13% earned monthly more than 3000 rupees. The rickshaw pullers who had contract with schools or parents of school going children, they belonged to permanent or fixed source of income and got more income. While other fixed sources were daily office workers particularly ladies, they use hired rickshaw on monthly contract.

Study Area Dhangadhi city was selected as study area
keeping the view of its location in proposed extensional city of Kailali district of far western development region. Mainly the rickshaw puller of chauraha were taken as area of study. The city contains many small and light industries, i.e., textile , edible oils factories, dairy farms, . But the city is still lacking a well connected city transport. So, rickshaw always is demanded as a means of transportation for shorter distance.

Summary conclusion and suggestion Throught the point from Campus road to
Chauraha of dhangadhi muncipality we study biograph of rickshaw puller daily life. We had gained many question to raise to them with detail reply from and so on we had achieved the knowledge to learn the case study.
However it was impossible of getting true information but we try our best as we can.
Transportation facilities has gained the new dimension in the recent years and passed through the different stages of comfort means of transportation
As a whole Rickshaw union had cooperate
with us. They had provided all the required information regarding to their daily life status phenomena in order to earn their livelihood.
Although they work hard to generate income but there unware about saving for future reference and so on.
