Objective

The objective of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge of 1st & 3

rd semester

students of Mechanical Engineering Department in the field of Manufacturing

under the title “Advance Welding Technology” by the Engineers who are currently

working in the industry. By doing this kind of workshop students got more idea

about the advance welding technology, different types of welding processes, real

industrial working environment, safety precautions, knowledge of various kinds of

welding equipments etc.

Highlight of Talk

During this workshop different topics like classification of welding technology,

history of welding technology, importance of welding technology, different

welding processes, basic steps for the welding, types of weld, types of different

welding positions, types of welding defects, personal protective equipment,

different welding hazards, welding symbols, welding qualifications, different non

destructive testing etc. are covered.

Open Discussion Session

After the end of the workshop an open discussion session between the Expert and

students was arranged. The discussion was very informative and students have

shown very keen interest in the discussion and solve their all doubts.

At the end of the session Mr. Ankit Harsora facilitated with token of love and

certificate to Mr. Milan Trivedi. Madhav Pandya (3rd

Mechanical) has expressed

thanks speech for an astonishing proficient expert talk. Moreover Mr. Milan

Trivedi said that five students will be selected for summer internship at Reliance

defense engineering limited., Pipavav. Then after a certificate is distributed to the

students who have attended the workshop by Mr. Milan Trivedi.
