PROJECTS UNITPHOP3KTY ft L004TIOH:
The Huston daing comprise 9 unpatented mining cla,ims numbered Kill, 390137, 390138, 390139, 390142, 390143 , 390187,
390189,390191,390192 and are situated in Dent and Mitchell
Townships, Ontario. The property cam be reached by an all-weather road fron the town of !3ar Palls ,on Highway 105, a distance of 50 miles
to the southwest. The claims adjoin on the west of the
producing South Bay lanes Limited. The east boundary of the property lies approxinately 1700 '.O southwest of the shaft portal. The ci airs are in the South Bay of Confederation Laic e and are primarily water covered. Several
of the claims have been surveyed previously by S'elco v/ith the survey clone in April 1970 by H. lil. Brannan, O.L.3.
Geophysical surveys have been done Toy ?elco but the results
have not been submitted for assessment work. At least four diamond drill holes are known to have been put down by S'elco
to depths of up to 600 f. O . Sulphides of pyrite, pyrrhotite and sphalerite have been reported from hole?^JS84 and no assays are available.
During the month of December 1974, surveyed baselines and picket lines were established , v/ith baselines set at IT 63 3.
Picket lines are at intervals of 200*. O v/ith stations at 100*. O,
Approximately 30 miles of lin e cut t ing was done. Drilling and blasting was done in August 1975 on ICRL 390142 and.590189 followed by sampling and geological mapping,

A iJciritrex Ff'1 2 magnetometer wo r; employed for thiw survey with .the accuracy of readings being plus or minus 5 garunas. A base station was established at the #8 post of 39019.? "M diurnal corrections made. 'Die instrument was' set for a lattitudo adjustment of 50,000 gammas andcalibrated to sero. headings were t ale en at 100 *, O intervals along the cut lines and plotted on a 1"-200 scale plan. Tfue t o the insignificant strength of these magnetic readings, they have not been ̂ ^^^ contoured. Prospecting with this magnetometer in Aug/75, it
\vas found that several very strong magnetic readings could be obtained from narrow isolated regions of the property. This
is especially so about 100* inland along the north shore of
the island on ICRL 390142. Blasting in the area of these highs
has revealed the presence of magnetite with gamma readings as
high as 30,000* Duo tp^the^exti^erael.y narrow nature,. oiL.i; h e jniner allegation this was not pick ec^ up by the initial survey , It is noted that on airborne magnetometer map 872 ft, a magnetic depression is indicated in the small bay extending
west from the South Bay Tines property and extends southwest
under the waters of Confederation Lake for a distance of ~Q^pf^iT^^I^^7^WTe"t leadings" of" from 100 "gammas to9,700
gamnas v/ere observed, with an overall average of approx. 500 gammas above background. Isolated highs recorded v/ere 1080,
2150,2800,2900 and 9600 gammas. The tracing of these highs was not attempted in any great detail but it is known that they
can be traced over narrow widths and along strike for several
hundred feet. Based on the results of the present work,
the magnetic properties of^jfche^ rock formation^show^jvez^^pjg. magnetic properties and are not significant to show any structural picture.
It is noted that a maximum of only 200 gammas above background v;as obtained over the South Bay Kines orebody and
small differences in magnetic sueeptability may well bc rdg-
nlficant and should not be overlooked. This lo particularly
applicable to the mineralised zone located at JT.2J3 on the
north side of the island and to the several isolated highs alone the north shore of this island to the east.
Conclusions reached from a study of this work show that no
major magnetic zones exist on the property.
Survey;
During tlie month of December 1974, this survey was completed
on the property with readings taken at 100*. O intervals. 'The
instrument used was a G-eonics 15 'H 6 v/ith the sou.rce of the primary field N.A.A., rain e, U.S.A. All readings were oriented
south along the picket lines. Plans on a scale of l "-200* were
compiled and also l "-100* profiles v/ere made. The operating
frequency of the instrument is 15 25 KHZ. The parameters
" ieasured are the vertical in-phase and the vertical out-of- phase components. Readability is plus or minus 1/S.
INSULT 3 O? SIi:iV ]Y:
Strong in-phase readings were obtained on all lines traversed
and cross-overs are indicated for a strike length of over 4000*,
The proximity of good indicated conductors to known sulphide
mineralization on Hi 22E plus 22 S and PL 23 plus 1750 r S and
PL41;' plus 32 o and to the fact of the low conductivity of the ore zones at the South P-ay Mines propertj'-, the indicated
conductors outlined by this work are reason to believe that further detailed work is required. Plans of this work has been
examined by Dr. N. Paterson, Geophyscist, Toronto, and the
indicated conductors are shown on the enclosed plans. These conductors are classed as weak conductors but require deeper

penetration to fully explore their potential. __

During the month of March 1975, a Geordcei IiK 17 survey was conducted over the property with readings taken at 100* intervals and cablo spacing of 400 *, O between transmitter
and receiver. The frequency of operation is 1600 Hz with a
readability of plus or minus 1/2* The quantities measured are the rea], component ( in- phase ) r-.nd imaginary component ( quadrature).Profiles of the readings taken were plotted on a 1"-200* plan, A geophysical interpretation of the results has been made by Dr. li. Paterson, geophyscist, and are shown on this plan.
This survey has outlined two weak conductors and four or
five weak scattered conductors. Sphalerite and pyrite .mineralization are known to exist under f^l conductoF"with the 'oth"Sr"c'on'duc'''^ors water, jcoveredjLi,It has been recommended that an Induced Polarization Survey be considered to explore these conductors further.
The area is part of the Superior Province of the Canadian Oheild comprising rocks of Archean age. Easterly trending belts of volcanic flows, fragmentals and tuffs with associated sedimentary rocks and basic intrusives are surrounded by extensive areas of granitic material.
The Huston claims are within one of the larger volcanic
segments which extends in a northeasterly and easterly
trending arc for 75 miles and is up to 25 miles wide.
This belt contains andesite, basaltic volcanics as well as rhyolite and dacite flows and tuffs. The latter rock are
of interest because of their association v/ith "base-metal mineralisation and orebodies. The adjoining South Bay Mines orebody was discovered in late 1968 and is comprised of a complex sequence of rhyolitic and dacitic rocks and consists
of lenses of massive sulphides in siliceous tuffs.
Page 5*
The dominant sulphide is grey pyrite. It is reported that the sphalerite is the amber coloured, low iron variety which la particularly a poor conductor of electrical
current. This orebody lies marginal to a large quartz -
feldspar - porphyry intrusive.
Formations foxmd on the ITuston claims are made up of tuffs intruded by several narrov; quartz-porphyry dikes. Dacite
and rhyolite have also been found in diamond drilling.
These formations are similar to the South Bay I3Lnes
formations and. contain disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite,
streaks and stringers of sphalerite and occasional grains
of chalcopyrite. Very localised magnetite has also been
located on the island. The strike of the tuff formation
is generally H 2 5 t o 30 degrees E with injected quartz stringers of limited lateral extent striking north-south* It is the authors opinion that these formations are the continuation of the formations found on the South Bay i::ines property with good possibilities for base-metal deposition.
Two drill holes are reported in the assessment files and ^are located near PL 1433 plus 53. It is the authors opinion
that these holes were drilled more or less parrallel to the strike of formations Eind also down dip. Sphalerite in minor qiiantities was reported in hole # IJG 84, from 200* to 600* in this hole with no known samples t air en 7"

nrilling and blasting done in August 1975, along the
shoreling on^'L 2S plus 173, has shown sphalerite over
a trench width of 10'.O comprised of narrow streaks and blebs of this mineral along with abundant pyrite. This
fact coupled with the indicated conductor at this location
is believed sufficient justification for further investigation by diamond drilling. The depth of the water

covering moot of this property is estimated to be from 50* to 100* c'ioop and with the dopth limitations of the 3HM 16 instrument, more sophisticated geophysical instruments should be considered to explore thes indicated
conductors* The EH 16 and t ho EM 17 surveys havo shown
that condxictors ara present on the claims and it remains to "be proven whether or not these conductors are the result of economic mineralization or the expression of
topographic relief or barren sheared zones.
Exploration along the strike length of the South Bay Fines
ore zones has only been of limited nature as this work has been concentrated on exploring the zones to depth with
ore now proven to depths of at least 1500* feet. Laterally
very little is known due to the fact that no underground openings are available to explore this strike length. With this fact in mind and the close proximity of the
eastern boundary of the Huston claims to the South Bay Fines
property and the strike of the known orebodies, it is recommended that the Huston claims be brought to lease.
It is recommended that diaond r

length of 750 *.0. If economic values are encountered then
further drilling should be considered, however this amount
of drilling would be sufficient to satisfy the assessment
work requirements and to bring the claims to lease.
