12 STEPS TO RECOVERYAt Fellowship Hall, our treatment plans are grounded on abstinence and the Twelve Step

model of recovery, recognizing that each individual is unique. We treat those who are suffering from alcohol and drug addiction through a continuum of care that meets our

guests where they are in the progression of their disease. Our most commonly treated substances are alcohol, opiate painkillers, cocaine, heroin, crystal meth,

and marijuana. Our staff is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of co-occurring disorders. We believe the key to a full recovery lies in addressing the disease of addiction as the primary issue, while simultaneously treating

any co-occurring mental health issues to help our guests maximize their overall health and fully embrace a new life of recovery. We provide individualized

referrals to continue care and support once guests leave Fellowship Hall because we know the longer one is engaged in treatment, the better their chances are for a

successful recovery. We also provide Family Programs to help loved ones understand the disease of addiction and to equip them with tools and resources to best help their loved one.

RESIDENTIAL & OUTPATIENT CAREThrough the generous support of alumni and donors, Fellowship Hall has grown from our humble

beginnings as NC’s first specialty hospital to a 99-bed recovery center. Our Primary Program, which offers residential treatment for three-to-four weeks, addresses the differences between men and women, youth

and mature adults, as well as helping licensed professionals work with their respective licensing boards to recover their professional status. Recognizing the need for longer treatment programs, we launched an Extended

Treatment Program (up to 90 days in residence) and just this October expanded outpatient services to provide continuing care through the Intensive Outpatient Program, Early Recovery Groups, plus individual, group and family

counseling services.

NEW GENDER RESPONSIVE TREATMENTWe know that women and men recover differently and have unique treatment needs. Because gender is an important component in substance use patterns, treatment, and relapse prevention, we launched gender response treatment in our Primary Program. By acknowledging and understanding the differences between women and men, we’ve created a treatment environment that addresses specific gender needs and the inherent issues that affect long-term recovery. Each guest receives individualized, trauma-informed care in either an all-female or all-male living environment. Women reside in the Kiser Lodge while men reside in our main building.

TREATMENT FOR YOUNG ADULTSYoung adults, those between the ages of 18-25, face different treatment issues than those of older adults. This year we grew our young adults program to address age-specific relapse issues, emotional development, relationship issues, and how to create a healthy self-image that supports long-term recovery.

CHANGING LIVESCAPITAL CAMPAIGNIn 2014, we launched the Changing Lives Capital Campaign to expand our capacity to serve more guests through the construction of three new buildings. In October, construction was complete and our capacity increased from 60 residential units to 99. To date, we have raised just over $3 million – near the half-way mark – of the $6.5 million we need to complete payment on the construction. The campaign will run through 2018. This pie chart shows how much we’ve raised and how much is left to raise, this year and next.

FOR SUPPORT:$1.3 Million

PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLEEach year, we reach out to our alums, friends, and the community at large for financial support to keep our programs strong and the path of recovery clear for those alcoholics and addicts who are ready to get their lives back on track. We couldn’t do the work we do without the generous support of donors and alums like you. THANK YOU! This year, we have three ways to support our efforts to raise $1.3 million.

1As part of the Changing Lives Capital Campaign, we’ll be launching a new initiative that we’ve coined the “NAME THAT BUILDING ALUMNI INITIATIVE”. Our goal is to engage our thousands of alums in an effort to raise $1 million dollars and the naming rights for our new Outpatient Center. The initiative will kick-off in December 2016, with efforts to complete our goal by June 30th. The new Outpatient Center would be dedicated to our thousands of alums, with recognition on the “Wall of Giving” inside and official naming of the “Alumni Outpatient Center” during our Annual Conference in August 2017. Alums will be asked to make a donation of $150 or more, between December 1 and June 30. Only 7000 alumni gifts are needed to reach our goal.

2Leave words of encouragement for those that will come behind you as part of our new GRATITUDE GARDEN INITIATIVE. This initiative will work to enhance the space between the new Outpatient Center and our main building through the installation of a Gratitude Garden. The Garden will feature a Sundial, marking the 12 Steps, on a bed of bricks that can be personalized with words to remember a loved one, honor someone special, or leave words of encouragement for those currently in treatment. This initiative willlaunch in 2017.

3The year wouldn’t be complete without working to secure financialsupport from our community partners through sponsorships and giftsfrom corporations and foundations. As part of our annual funddrive, we’ll be working to secure support from the largerNorth Carolina community.
