A demonstration will follow showing my process for removing the original image background using a variety of “selection tools”. This process applies to Photoshop as well as Photoshop Elements.

Since April is in a sense a “fool’s “ month, I thought I would have some fun and share with you all (or those who actually read this commentary; and if you do and see this send me an email to let me know you did), a list of some of my favorite “Oxy Morons”. Now hopefully we all know what an “Oxy Moron” is, but for those who still may have some confusion here it is. An “Oxy Moron” comment is a figure of speech which juxtaposes elements that appear to be contradictory. As you peruse the list below, I think you will get what that means.

The American Dahlia Society is celebrating it’s centennial with an amazing exhibition of dahlias at Hofstra University September 19th and 20th 2015. They are offering a private photographer admission at 8:00 AM on September 20th. The exhibition will open to the public at 10 AM. This will provide unobstruted opportunities for excellent photosYou will find thousands of world class flowers and arrangements for your photographic pleasure. Dahlia enthusiasts will be travelling world wide for the event. Dahlias blooms range in size from a tiny 1” to an incredible 16” in diameter and come in every color except green and blue.This special showing requires a minimum of 50 people and will not exceed 75 to allow you access to all blooms.
