Office Closed: Office will be closed to the public until further notice.

Community Garden: We need volunteers for the community garden. Please call the office if interested.

RHA JOBS: Rensselaer Housing is now taking Applications for our Maintenance Department. Please call the office for an application.

Trash: Please throw your trash in trash receptacles not on the grounds. Pitch in and help.

Cigarette Butts: Please dispose of your cigarette butts properly and not on the ground. Halls: During the pandemic we ask that you keep the area outside your front door clean. Also please wipe down your front door knob and the door handles to your building entrance door to help reduce spreading germs.

Bulk Pick Up: Bulk pick up for PDA is May 11, 2020. Please put bulk items out on Sunday May 10th between 4 pm and 12 midnight for early Monday morning pick up. For more information go to www.rensselaer.gov. For RHA all bulk items must go in the upper bulk dumpster. You will be fined if you put bulk items in lower dumpster.

Debit/Credit Card: Rensselaer Housing Authority is now accepting Debit/ Credit card payments. You can make a payment over the phone.

MAILBOXES: Empty your mailboxes at least 3 times a week. All too often important information is in there. There will be no excuses when it’s from our office and immediate attention is required. OVERNIGHT GUESTS: If you are having overnight guest(s), please come to the office and fill out a guest request. We need this information in case there is an emergency. We need to know who and how many extra people are on the property. Guests also need a “Guest Rocker” for their car. Should you have unexpected guests after business hours, call the emergency number. FAMILY CHANGES: If you’re family dynamics change or your income changes, please be sure to let the office know, so the appropriate adjustments can be made in your rent and if necessary, the size of your unit. We also need this updated in case of emergencies. As always, if you have any questions you can call the office 518 436-0230 or come in to see us.

SUNDAY BREAD: Every Sunday (unless noted), Pastor Newman brings free donated bread & pastries from Panera & Starbuck to the Aiken Ave. lobby between 11:30-12:30. Bring your own bag please.

VEGGIE MOBILE: The Veggie Mobile comes every Tuesday. RHA time is 2:15 – 3:00 pm then it goes up to PDA. Time 3:15 – 4:00 pm. This is a good opportunity to get some nice fresh vegetables for you and your family.

PHONE SYSTEMS: When you call please listen to all prompt options. OPTION 1 is for Laurie –Housing OPTION 2 is for Rose—Section 8 OPTION 3 is for Work Orders **include in message Permission to Enter if you’re not home. Please speak clearly leaving your name, address, phone number and message. OPTION 4 is if you want an Application OPTION 5 is for All Other Calls After Hours Emergency Work Order number 518 428-2248

Regarding Power & Cable Shutoffs: Our Maintenance Staff WILL NOT be coming in after hours to allow the cable or electric/gas companies in to turn your service back on. Please make arrangements to have them come during normal business hours: Monday – Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am-3:30pm. There are NO EXCEPTIONS!! On call maintenance is for emergencies only!!!.

Census: You all should of received your code in the mail. So please log on or call to complete your 2020 census.
