Substance abuse, mental health and criminal behavior often share long and destructive histories in the lives of the men and women in the care of Renewal Treatment, Inc. (RTI)

The dedicated staff of treatment professionals at RTI provides treatment focused on addressing both the “what” and the “why” of the issues at hand so that they can not only stop destructive behavior, but can help individuals permanently manage the impulses and processes that trigger them.

Renewal offers Drug and Alcohol Inpatient, Out- patient and Detox Treatment as well as Mental Health Outpatient Services as part of its commit-ment to supporting the whole individual on their path to reentering society.

RTI accepts referrals from a wide range of correc-tional and community-based treatment and support settings and provides gender specific programs.

RTI follows three underlying principles important to the program:• Individuals are responsible for their behavior

• Individuals can change their thinking or beliefs

• By changing thinking or beliefs, behaviors will change

RTI Drug and Alcohol Inpatient treatment includes:• Access to certified, professional therapists well-rounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other treatment modalities.

• Treatment protocols based on in-depth evaluation and assessment of each individual situation.

• Group and educational lecturers on substance abuse and other factors that lead to chemical dependency.

• Group Therapy and educational lecturers.

RTI Drug and Alcohol Outpatient services includes:• Services for individuals in the criminal justice system with a focus on assessment, group therapy, individual counseling and continued education.

• All individuals in treatment are encouraged to pursue external, socially-based support systems such as 12- step meetings and mentoring or spiritual programming.

RTI’s Mental Health Outpatient services include: • Services for youth who have been through the criminal justice system and have serious emotional and behavioral issues that cannot be treated in their home communities.

• Assistance to children and adolescents learning to manage and permanently address the mental health and substance abuse factors that place them at risk for repeat criminal behavior.

• A comprehensive approach to treatment that includes evaluation, an individualized treatment plan and individual, group and family therapy centered on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Functional Family Therapy.

• Psychiatric Care, including medication and monitoring as needed.

• Batterer’s Intervention Group.
