BIOGRAPHYHe was born 21 november 1898 in Lessinles (Bélgica). When he was 14 years old his mum kills herself in a forest , jumping to a cliff. René saw his mum in the water with a clothe in the face, then he started painting “the lovers” I and II .He married Georgette Berger. She appears in some of his pictures . He started painting in 1910. He died in Brussels in 1976.

STYLEHis style is surrealism. Reality is connected with mytery . He also tried the styles abstract andFuturist.In hes paintings he puts people and some elements with a lot of colours that get the feeling of strange and mystery. Magritte created original paintings with a lot of pictures that transmit a lot of meanings.
