Transcript of Rendezvous au Zoo
Rehearsal time!
Rehearsals kept us busy for several days. We wanted to make sure that we were prepared to do our very best.
Fifth grade students rehearsing a canon for the third day.
Third grade students carried the “five golden rings” for the fifth day.
Our eight maids a milking and nine ladies dancing are in costume and ready to perform!
Backstage jitters!
Four fifth grade students auditioned for speaking parts in the musical. The speakers are in their “living room” waiting for the musical to start!
Next up, a recorder duet for the second day (two turtledoves) and a 3-part canon for the third day (three French hens).
The Fifth Day:
“Five Golden Rings!”
Our soloist was nervous, but she did an excellent job! And our ring bearers provided just the right special touch.
Hold on, wait a minute, something’s not right! We see the seven swans, and they’re all dressed in white, But the movement’s all wrong—there’s not a swimmer in the bunch! It’s like it’s time for recess and they’re all out to lunch.
Instrumental soloists.
The eighth day was a jazzy piece featuring singers, instrumentalists, two instrumental soloists, and a great dance by our eight maids-a-milking!
Up next were our nine ladies dancing, who were “interrupted” by our ten lords a-leaping! The audience clapped the beat along with our dance, they had so much fun!
