Dear Families and School Community,
A big welcome back to school for Term 4. What
beautiful weather and good rain we had and we hope all
students are well rested and ready to commence another
busy term.
School Athletics
Congratulations to all our students who competed on
the last day of Term 3. It was wonderful to see you all
participating and enjoying the day. Some long standing
records were broken. Our record breakers are included on
page 3.
Interschool Athletics
Tomorrow, Friday, October 10th our Grade 3/4
students will travel to Numurkah Primary School and our 5/6
students will venture to the Recreation Reserve.
We wish all students the best for the day.
2015 Enrolments Enrolments are now being taken for Foundation students for
the year 2015.
To enable planning for grade structures for 2015 we
request that parents return their completed enrolment forms,
along with a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate and
Immunisation status, as soon as possible.
If you are aware of a family intending to enrol, at our
school, please let them know that enrolments are now being
taken. Enrolment forms and school information can be
collected from the school office.

2015 Foundation Student Transition Program
Our Transition program will commence on
Thursday, October 23rd for 1 hour from 10.00am
till 11.00am.
The following sessions will be on:
October 30th (from 10am - 11am)
November 6th ( from 10am - 12.30pm)
November 13th (from10am - 1.30pm)
November 20th (from 10am - 1.30pm)
November 27th ( from 9.15am - 1.30pm)
December 4th ((from 9.15am - 2.20pm)
Tuesday, December 9th (from 8.50am - 3.20pm).
S unSmart Hats
A reminder that from September and all
of Term 4 sunsmart hats are compulsory.
Can all families please make sure all broad
brimmed hats (clearly named) are bought to school.
Any child without a hat will be unable to
participate in yard play due to the state-wide policy
of “No hat no play”.
Hats are available from the school office at a
cost of $10.00.

You are invited to be part of the junior tennis program at Nathalia Lawn Tennis Club, through ‘Hotshots’, interclub or
intra-club competitions
WHEN: Saturday mornings during term 4 (2014) & term 1 (2015).
DATE: Beginning Oct 18th.
TIME: 8:50 – 10:00 (approximately)
WHERE: Nathalia Lawn Tennis Club
WHAT IS INVOLVED:
a) HOTSHOTS: You will learn the basics of the game, through skills based activities, followed by modified matches. The fo-
cus will be on you enjoying playing the game of tennis with friends and being a good sport.
b) INTRA-CLUB: For those who can serve and rally on a full size court. Players will work on skills then play singles and dou-
bles with all matches played at Nathalia.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT: parents/guardians/friends are needed to assist with activities and scoring.

The Portsea Camp is on again in January 2015.
Children aged 9 to 12 years of age are eligible to
attend the camp.
It is a 7 day camp and will be held from Monday
19th to Sunday 25th January 2015 at a cost of
$321.
If you are at all interested in this wonderful
experience for your child, application forms are
available at the school office.
