Two New Buildings Now Have Names! Riverside High School graduate and former Riverside art teacher Sue Chaffee has created a montage of the six current Riverside elementary buildings: Buckeye Madison Avenue Hale Road Hadden Melridge Leroy These hand drawn keepsakes are perfect for those who have a special connection to the buildings. Sue is selling 11" x 14" black and white prints of the montage of schools (shown at right). Also available for purchase are 5" x 7" black and white prints individually matted in an 8" x 10" mat of the Hadden, Hale Road, Leroy and Madison Avenue elementary school buildings. Special Education Unit Valentine’s Day Dance

The District is hosting an Elementary Family Fun Night on Wednesday, April 3 at Riverside High School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event is open to all elementary students in the District and will feature 15-

Elementary Family Fun Night20 STEM activity stations in the John R. Williams cafeteria and High School media center.

Teachers from the elementary schools will also be present to interact with students and parents and help run the activity stations.

Wild Wings, Chick Fil A, Chuck E. Cheese’s, Concord Pizza, Dave’s Cosmic Subs, Domino’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Eat’n Park, Firehouse Subs, Gartman Model Bakery, Glenda’s Pizza, Guilio Bonazza’s Pizzeria, Harry Buffalo, Hungry Howie’s, IGA, Little Caesars, Master Pizza, Marco’s Pizza, Maxim’s Pizza, Panini’s, Papa John’s, Perkins, Pizza Roto, Qdoba, Redhawk Grille, Subway, TJ’s on the Avenue, Zeppe’s.

Riverside’s annual Hoops 4 Hope is Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at the Riverside Field House. Come see the District’s staff members take on Lake County’s First Responders. There is a $3 suggested donation for admission. All proceeds will go toward the Riverside Veterans Memorial. This event is open to the entire community!

The Riverside High School’s Special Education Unit hosted its annual Valentine’s Day dance on February 14.

More than 200 students and staff members from 11 local high schools attended the dance, which was sponsored by Innovative Blends Entertainment and Steven Abbott–State Farm Insurance. Lunch was provided by these local restaurants who donated food and beverages: Applebee’s, Bada Bing, Buffalo
