RELIGION WILL BE THE DEATH OF THEM BY WATCHMAN DEAN May 05 2014 My friend, Tyler Sposite, on Facebook, has recently been pointing out that many think the law is a "curse" and a "burden" from which Christ died to "save" us. He has obviously been talking to Christians and reading their sites/ visiting their youtube channels, because this is precisely how I was taught to think growing up in Christianity. Anyone who denies this is just being dishonest. Christians do not yet realize that when they call the law "a curse" they are calling anyone who preaches it "cursed." They also don't realize that Christ himself preached law. "John 14: 15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments" "Mark 10: 17 And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’”

RELIGION WILL BE THE DEATH OF THEM

BY WATCHMAN DEAN

My friend, Tyler Sposite, on Facebook, has recently been pointing out that many think the law is a "curse" and a "burden" from which Christ died to "save" us.

"John 14: 15

If you love me, you will keep my commandments"

"Mark 10:

17 And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’”

There are many such examples in scripture of Christ preaching, you guessed it, LAW! The Commandments! He stated that if you LOVE your neighbor as yourself (one of the "new" commandments he gave) then you will not sin against him (brothers and sisters THAT IS LAW). He taught that if you "love God with all your heart" (another of the "new" commandments) then you will not sin against God (again, that's what the law teaches).

Christ taught from the LAW! Without the law we don't know any sin. Without the law we HAVE NO SIN.

"Romans 5:

13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law."

"Romans 4:

15 For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression."

Those who say that the law is "done away with" in Christ are saying that they "have no sin" (for if they have no law they have no sin). John said anyone who says "I have no sin" is a liar and the truth is not in him:

"1 John 1:

8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

When Christians say that the LAW is a curse, they twist the scripture and make righteousness an evil thing, for the law teaches righteousness. They are not just calling righteousness "a curse" but they are calling Christ, the Lord of Righteousness, "accursed!"

This is how we know that those who preach that the law is a CURSE and a BURDEN do not KNOW Christ and are NOT true believers. How can I pass such judgment? Scripture passes it for me:

"1 Corinthians 12:3

3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost."

He who says the law is nullified by Christ and he who says that he "cannot stop sinning" is saying that Jesus is NOT LORD of their bodies, that Jesus is only Lord of their "soul" but has NO CONTROL or AUTHORITY over what they do in their bodies.

No man, speaking by the Holy Spirit can call Christ "accursed" (by calling the commandments a curse) and no man speaking by the Holy Spirit can deny that Jesus is Lord (of their bodies).

Christians twist scripture for they say that if you are "of faith" you do not keep the law and that if you keep the law you are "not of the faith."

Here's one such scripture they TWIST:

"Galatians 3:

12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:"

Christians yank the above verses completely out of context. Paul was talking to people that were trying to keep the law, purely by the FLESH, and not by FAITH and the HOLY SPIRIT.

It's why he said:

"Galatians 3:

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"

We, the true believers, keep the law BY FAITH, and it cannot be said of us that "the law is not faith" for to us the law IS FAITH! James himself stated as much:

"James 2:

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy

faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?"

Another way Christians twist Galatians 3: 12 - 13 is to read it to say "Christ hath redeemed us from the law which is a curse." Do you see how they cleverly misread the text? Paul told the Galatians that Christ has redeemed us from the "curse of the law" which is NOT the same as saying "the law which is a curse."

The curse of the law is SIN!

Christ has redeemed us, not from the penalty for the sin, but has redeemed us from the SIN ITSELF, by sending us his Holy Spirit that we might "sin not."

"1 John 2:

2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not...."

Behold how Paul concludes his letter to the Galatians:

"Galatians 5:

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."

This is the same man Christians say preached that the law "no longer applies" to them! There he is saying that if you walk in the Spirit you will KEEP THE LAW (for how would you know what is the "lust" of the flesh without the law?).

So it was NOT the law that was nullified, but rather the keeping the law by DEAD FLESH, it was replaced with a "new and better" promise of keeping the law by the HOLY SPIRIT.

So, in conclusion, when Christians speak against keeping the law entirely and call them that preach keeping the law BY THE SPIRIT devils, they are blaspheming the HOLY SPIRIT.

According to Christ, he who blasphemes the Holy Spirit has NO FORGIVENESS!

"Mark 3:

29 But he that shall blasphemes against the Holy Ghost never has forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation."

The writer to the Hebrews stated this as well, when speaking about the sacrifice of Christ's blood:

"Hebrews 10:

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,

which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?"

This is why I and many of my friends are preaching the TRUTH of SPIRITUAL LAW KEEPING because we know that unless you follow Christ, and obey the Father in spirit and in truth, you do not have eternal life in you.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, people, but your RELIGION is going to BE THE DEATH OF YOU!
