Release notes - Tivoli Common Reporting

Tivoli® Common Reporting version 2.1.1 is now available. Installation and othergetting-started issues are addressed in this document.

About this release

Tivoli Common Reporting provides an integrated reporting solution for theproducts in the Tivoli portfolio. It allows linking multiple reports across variousTivoli products to simplify the report navigation and accelerate access to keyreporting information.

For most up-to-date product help and information visit Tivoli Common Reportingonline information center: the online information center. The user guides and userhelp included with the product installation media is valid at the time of theproduct release.

System requirements

For information about hardware and software compatibility, see the detailedsystem requirements document at the online information center.

Installation files

There are two installation directories: operating_system32 containing the 32-bitinstaller and operating_system64 containing the 64-bit installer. For Windowsoperating systems, there is an additional installation media (either a disk or aninstallation image) containing IBM® Cognos® Modeling installer with FrameworkManager.

If you have downloaded an installation image, extract the directory containingeither the 32-bit or the 64-bit installer, depending on your operating system. If yourinstallation media is in the form of a disc, open the directory containing theinstallation files.

You will need the following files to install Tivoli Common Reporting:v Launchpad located in installation_media\operating_system_bitness\

launchpad.sh (for Linux and UNIX) or launchpad.bat (for Windows).v Installation guide located in installation_media\operating_system_bitness\

documentation\TCR211_installation_guide.pdf

v User guide located in installation_media\operating_system_bitness\documentation\TCR211_user_guide.pdf

For HP-UX IA and HP-UX PA-RISC, the files are located in:

Additionally, the installation media for 32-bit systems contains Tivoli IntegratedPortal feature pack installer located in installation_media\operating_system_bitness\TCRInstaller\TIP_FP\install.bat (for Windows) orinstall.sh (for Linux and UNIX). For details on how to install the feature pack,see: Installing Tivoli Integrated Portal feature pack.

Framework Manager installation files are located on a separate disc or installationmedia in the following directories:v Framework Manager installer: installation_media\CognosModeling\win32\

issetup.exe

v Framework Manager fix pack installer: installation_media\CognosModelingFix\win32\issetup.exe

v Readme file: installation_media\TCR211_FM_readme.pdf

Known problems

At the time of the release, the following issues were known:v FIPS is not supported for Tivoli Common Reporting 2.1.1. Support for FIPS will
