Summary: The Engineering team is proud to announce the release of Atlas 1514, together with supporting changes in the KDS and Display.

Features: Display Order –Tap the order number and up will pop a summary of the order. It includes all the order stuff you want to know, but can’t see, at least not without search for it. And you can edit this information as well.

Custom Menus – The Revel POS app now supports those custom menus. Have a bar menu? Create a menu with only bar items and display it on your Bar Stations. Do you have different Menus for Lunch and Dinner? Create menus defined by time and the iPad will automatically switch between them. These menus are actually filters, so you can still find items via search if you need to.

Display Unit Redesign – There are two major changes here. Firstly, We have changed the look of the main Display Unit page. The amount of information that is displayed has been condensed. The representation of item discounts is enhanced (the new price is large and the original price is displayed below). There is also a Total discounts line (appearing only if there are any discounts at the bottom).

You may remember that we redid the signature flows some months ago. Those were great, but other payment types could be a little odd. So, we have expanded the UI elements from the signature flow into all payment types.

Discount Modifiers – As mentioned in the Backend Release Notes for September, you can now set up discounts against modifiers or modifier classes. The discounts will be assessed against the Item.

Deposits on Invoices – When we first launched invoices, adding any sort of payment to them would automatically turn them into an order. Now, you can put a deposit payment on an invoice and it will stay an invoice. The payments will appear in your reports as payments and liabilities, but the products shall not post as sales until you turn the invoice into an order (accomplish this by clicking again the invoice icon). At that point, the payment will report as an Applied Deposit.

World Pay Support – Revel is proud to announce the support of World Pay! We support World Pay! The support includes offline, encryption, Ipp350, IDTech, iSC250, and Pin-Pad. Please reach out to support with any questions.

Major Enhancements Tax Id & Receipts – Tax ID’s can now print on receipts. This is an option that has to be selected in the management console.

Blind Tills – So, less than honest employees could use our tills to figure out if there was extra cash, and just pocket it. Revel aims to save your business money. We have resolved this have fixed that by implementing blind tills. It limits the ability to print cash logs or go back. You just declare the cash and then are done. Turn on Blind Tills under Payments and then set the Full Tills Permission settings, under permissions, to those employees who should have it. Please await for the next Backend Release Notes for updates to this new enhancement.

Clockout & Open Orders Update – By upcoming backend setting, you can now require your employees to close their open orders before they clockout. Attempting to clockout with open orders will display a list of those orders. It will also display an error message if there are unsynced orders. We have also added an override setting that can be applied in the permissions section in the management console.

Cash Rounding & iPad Update – To match the POS, we now also print the cash rounding amount on the receipt

Delivery Management Order Updates – Delivery management now shows whether or not orders have been paid, this makes it easier for the driver to keep tabs if he/she needs to collect money.

Catering Delivery’s New Appearance – Revel team is proud to announce updates to Catering Delivery window on the iPad. There are quick short cuts to see upcoming items. You can sort by order or item, active or complete. It is actually now something functional. Once we add a few more enhancements to adding the delivery time to the items, this, combined with Invoices is a great combination.

Save Prompt & Unsaved Orders – If you attempt to exit an unsaved order with out saving, we will prompt you to save this.

Clocking In & Unscheduled Roles – The iPad now handles restrictions on trying to clockin to an unscheduled role.

Discount Products & Not Modifiers Setting – The ability to discount only the product and not the modifier is in the iPad now. Set this on the discount using the ‘apply to base product only’ flag.

Customer Profile Pics – You can now take a picture of your customers with the iPad and save it onto their customer record. Display the photos by clicking the view photo link on the Customer Record.

Receiptless Returns & Serial Numbers – You can now use Receiptless Returns for Serial Number items. –Even if the item comes from a different establishment we will return back to that specific location’s inventory.

Password Override & Serial Numbers Update – If the inventory check couldn’t find a serial number, we would not allow you to sell that product. Which would be a bit problematic if you are holding that product in your hand, ready to give it to the customer. Revel has implemented a password restricted override for that. Please select which employees have the ability override this in Roles & Permissions.

Guest Check Prints & Hold – The setting to print a guest check on hold has been implemented on the iPad. Please note, this does not work for split bills, only for the main order.
