The little purple book of fundraisingideas
IntroThis Little Purple Book of Fundraising ideas has been developed to help you raise funds and have fun along the way.
We have some great ideas and have even listed our top 10 fundraisers to do at work, and at home.
Relay For Life is a great opportunity to connect with others to celebrate life today, remember loved ones and fight back by fundraising.
By getting involved in Relay For Life you are helping the Cancer Society provide a wide range of free support services and information for people affected by cancer. You are also supporting vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer.
For more information visit relay.org.nz or email [email protected] Happy Fundraising from the team at the Cancer Society.
Keep it legal and safeTo put our minds at rest and to stop you from accidentally breaking any laws, please read the important stuff below.
You definitely need to consider health and safety and legal requirements when doing any fundraising activities.
Health and safetyIt’s all about common sense. Follow the professional advice of equipment manufacturers and staff supervising any facilities. The formal bit: Cancer Society Auckland cannot accept liability for any loss, damage or injury suffered by you or anyone else as a result of taking part in a fundraising event.
Food hygieneThis is vitally important. No one likes an upset tummy, especially as a reward for raising money for a charity. Please take great care when handling food and work to basic rules for safe preparation, storage, display and cooking.
Our broader Cancer Society Fundraising Guidelines can also be found here
We couldn’t provide our vital services without the people who support us.
Get involved in your local area, sign up for an event or organise your own. You’ll make a real difference to people living with cancer today and tomorrow.
