Alianza Mundial de Tecnólogos en Radioterapia – ESTRO
Origen del proyecto
La estructura de las sociedades nacionales que representan los tecnólogos en radioterapia esta muy diversificada:
Sociedades nacionales exclusivamente dedicadas a la profesión
Sociedades nacionales conjuntas (por ejemplo, tecnólogos en Radioterapia con técnico en radiología, tecnólogos en medicina nuclear, dosimetristas y enfermeros)
Sociedades nacionales interdisciplinarias (tecnólogos en Radioterapia, radioterapeutas, físicos médicos y enfermeros)
Estudio para identificar necesidades
Un cuestionario que ha sido enviado a los sociedades nacionales representando tecnólogos en radioterapia (90 contactos en 43 países) reveló varias necesidades:
Una representación nacional débil de la profesión y mayoritariamente en órganos inter/multidisciplinarios
Gran interés por pertenecer a un órgano de representación internacional
Inicio del proyecto en enero 2017
Objetivos de la Alianza
Reforzar la representación profesional al nivel internacional
Apoyar la creación de sociedades nacionales dedicadas a la profesión
Obtener un mayor reconocimiento de la profesión ante entidades políticas internacionales y apoyar el desarrollo profesional de los tecnólogos en radioterapia
Ofrecer a los tecnólogos en radioterapia la posibilidad, a través de su Sociedad Nacional, de crear una red de contactos, de acceder a información a través de profesionales y utilizar la red científica y educacional de la ESTRO
Promocionar la educación y el intercambio de ideas, así como la creación de una red significativa de profesionales con intereses comunes
