Instead of one, we get multiple .MTS files, each one about 4GB in size. Here, 00002.MTS, 00003.MTS and 00004.MTS are actually ONE video.

So we try to rejoin them by assembling the clips side by side in the timeline. We thought this could easily solve the issue, BUT NO! There’s a nasty glitch.During playback, image freezes and skips, and audio disappears at the joint.Though it’s only a split second, less than 10 frames, it’s obviously noticeable.

So how to rejoin the multiple MTS files without a glitch in Premiere Pro CC?When you transfer your files from camera or card to your computer, do this.Look for the folder called “BDMV” and copy that whole folder to the computer.“BDMV” contains extra folders and files that has the clip joining information.

Notice this when you import clips from the “BDMV” folder on your computer. Here, 00002.MTS, 00003.MTS and 00004.MTS all have the same duration.Pull any one of them to the timeline and you will get 1 long continuous video.NO MORE skip frames and audio glitches at the joints of the broken up videos.
