Contact information ERIN Specific Action Program Within the ERIN Specific Action Program, Caritas International, member of the Caritas and ERSO network, acts as an intermediary institution and cooperates with Caritas India to assist returnees in the first steps of their reintegration process in India.

Caritas India
Established in 1962, Caritas India has evolved in
emergency response and recovery, community
development, reconstruction and natural resource
management expressing solidarity with the commu-
nity. Caritas India works for the most vulnerable and
marginalized sections of the society towards digni-
fied lives and inclusive sustainable development.
Caritas India has been efficiently working focusing on
unsafe migration and Human Trafficking. Considering
the vulnerability of the irregular migrants, Caritas
emphasized and collaborates with various charitable
organization working for the refugees and asylum
seekers around the world to assist the irregular
migrants to return home safely and live a dignify life.
Caritas India Head Office is located in New Delhi, the
Capital of India and operates with more than 200
partners comprising of both diocesan and non-faith
organizations.
For returnees to India, the first phone contact will be
with the contact person in Delhi. This phone call will
determine if the first physical contact will be in Delhi
or in a local office. This depends on the needs of the
returnee and how to address them in the most
efficient way.
Reintegration services
The ERIN Specific Action Program is a reintegration
program implemented by 18 host countries.
The ERIN Specific Action Program offers reintegration
assistance to Indian nationals who return to their home
country voluntarily or by force, especially vulnerable
migrants such as pregnant woman, trafficked individuals,
senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, individuals
with medical problems, single mothers and un-
accompanied children.
Who can be assisted?
If you are an Indian national returning from Austria,
Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands,
Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or the
United Kingdom, you can contact Caritas India after
arrival, in order to check your eligibility and activate the
reintegration package. Only after approval of the
responsible ERIN partner institution, the assistance will
be provided.

• Meet and greet service at the airport
• Urgent medical treatment & medical assistance
at the arrival airport (e.g. ambulance)
• Guidance for vulnerable people
• Other basic assistance after arrival
• Psychosocial care and support
• Business consultancy support
• Legal advice to set up income generating activity
• Vocational and livelihood training port
• Education support
• Job reference
• Other basic assistance after arrival, depending on
the needs of the returnee and the available
reintegration package
