AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE BID RECEIVED FROM ASHLEY ROSS CONSTRUCTION, L.L.C. IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,000.00 FOR NEW BULLET PROOFING CONSTRUCTION AT THE KENNER POLICE COMPLEX IN ACCORDANCE WITH SEALED BID 17-6374 FOR THE KENNER POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and tabulated by the Purchasing Department on February 22, 2017 for new bullet proofing construction at the Kenner Police Complex; and,

WHEREAS, Ashley Ross Construction, L.L.C. has been determined to be the lowest responsive bidder; and,

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief of the Kenner Police Department that the lowest responsive bid received from Ashley Ross Construction, L.L.C. be accepted; and,

WHEREAS, funding for this purchase is available in account number 0012100-5946 and various other accounts.

THE COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF KENNER HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION ONE: That the lowest responsive bid received from Ashley Ross Construction, L.L.C. in the amount of $58,000.00 for new bullet proofing construction at the Kenner Police Complex in accordance with Sealed Bid No. 17-637 4 is hereby accepted.

SECTION TWO: That a contract between City of Kenner and Ashley Ross Construction, L.L.C. in the amount of $58,000.00 is hereby approved.
