COURSE This conference will feature lectures on adult stroke, including acute stroke intervention, management of acute stroke patients, stroke rehabilitation, research, telemedicine, and more. The WV Office of Emergency Medical Services will share its plan for the advancement of stroke care access across the state.

TARGET AUDIENCEIt is designed for physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, pharmacists, emergency medical personnel, rehabilitation specialists, and researchers with an interest in stroke care.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVESAt the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to: 1. Identify cryptogenic stroke and medical aspects of stroke care 2. Identify surgical aspects of stroke care and advances in neuro-intervention 3. Describe stroke program development and discuss telemedicine consultation capabilities 4. Describe rehabilitation approaches to stroke

COURSE CREDITThe West Virginia University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The WVU Office of CME designates this live activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This continuing education activity has been provided by the West Virginia University School of Nursing for 7.1 contact hours. CANCELLATIONSImportant: If you are unable to attend the conference after you have registered, you must notify us in writing by May 10, 2019, to receive a refund. No refunds for conference fees will be made after May 10, 2019. A $50 fee will be charged for all canceled registrations.

We reserve the right to cancel individual sessions or the entire conference. In the event of a cancellation, a full tuition refund will be made.
