WHAT WE DO?
We believe in putting people and plant first.
Our determination is to make the world
better.
WHY WE DO IT?
ACRE foundation is a non-profit
organization. It is established in 2018 to
accomplish economical and community
based strength for the rural and
underprivileged. We work towards our
engagement model that strives to uplift
farmers and the younger generation of
rural India.
WHO ARE WE?
Finally complete the cycle by providing a sustainable model that helps farmers monitor and
owning the complete process: Methodically control the crop production process and directly
reap economic benefits from multiple transparent sources.
Our Approach
Educate farmers on
organic farming
Soil Testing
Restore Lakes
Suitable
Vegetation
Eradicate
Eucalyptus
Trees
Collaborate with researchers and knowledge hubs such as NIFA /RCOF to educate the
farmers on organic farming. This helps farmer’s knowledge to adopt practices that are
profitable, environmentally sound, and contribute to quality of life.
To optimize crop production and protect the environment with contamination and excess
fertilizers soil testing is essential. It helps in long-term farming and cost saving.
*OUTCOME: EACH FARMER LAND SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH SOIL HEALTH CARD
Restoration of lakes include cleaning of lakes and internally oxygenating.
Benefits: Bacteria reduction, Muck reduction, Algae control, Milfoil reduction and so on…
Cleaning of lakes shall mainly help prepare for water to be restored in a clean space.
Growing suitable vegetation helps the ecosystem and affects sustainability. Vegetation
enhances the natural processes of different indicators for sustainability such as: improving air
quality, water resources. Mission is to Plant more then 1 Million Trees.
Eucalyptus was introduced in Karnataka in 1960s, 90% of Bangalore rural (Hoskote) is full of Eucalyptus.
Shocking facts: A eucalyptus tree consumes 90 liters of water a day. During summers and times of
drought, its roots can go down up to 30ft. (Research reference material links are provided in the notes)

The current situation is clearly
seen that all lakes became
completely dry resulting in
villagers are migrating and
Farm lands are converting in
concrete Jungle.
This picture speaks
thousand words. The
white patches
represents lakes and
there were so many of
them 30 years back.
Hoskote had enough
water.
Within ten years the water
reduces more than 50% ,
effecting farmers and
desertification that lasted for 25

03Current Situation:
More than 60% of Hoskote land is covered by
eucalyptus trees which is one of the biggest
reason for depleting ground water
Eradication of Eucalyptus Trees
04About Chemical farming:
Reduced ground level water has forced
farmers to enhance the use of chemicals &
fertilizers to sustain farming, without
knowing the detrimental side effects that
this will have on their health and the
consumer who consumes this crop.

Our current focus is to create sustainable
agriculture and living infrastructure for Hoskote,
a taluk in rural Bangalore.
Our Focus
05
Farmers have been traditionally in hands of middlemen &
traders for selling their produce at much lower price than
the market, so we want them to have an avenue where
they can reach their produce directly to the end consumer
and ensure that they get a decent sustainable income.

of prices by adjusting demand and supply.

place for fun and entertainment and also knowledge about rural India.
Open Air Theater(Amphitheater):India's artistic identity is deeply routed within its social, economical, cultural, and religious views. For this
reason it is essential to understand Indian cultural practices as they relate directly to performers and
performances of rural areas. Performances including dance, music, and text are an expression of devotion
for the Indian culture. The main objective of this open air theater is to showcase the young talents of rural
