What is the Exchange?
Exchange is a secure, web-based platform, established in 2008. This tool allows Lenders to connect with over 20,000 different
Vendors and provides the ability to manage products online or through an interconnection with internal systems.
Please visit our website for more information.
Once registration is complete, users will be provided with information regarding training of the Exchange website.
What is Closing Insight™?
Closing Insight™, a suite of Web-based technology and workflow solutions, was developed by Black Knight in collaboration with several top Lenders, Title Underwriters and Settlement Agents.
Closing Insight supports the closing process by helping lenders and settlement providers gather loan fee information and collaborate in a secure web page to complete the Closing Disclosure form.
In addition to that and most importantly, Closing Insight helps lenders and their business partners satisfy their obligations with CFPB’s TRID requirements.
So what is the difference?
Exchange is where the order(s) will be managed, including communicating with the Lender.
Closing Insight is simply an additional tool added to the Exchange.
Closing Insight will be initiated by the Lender when they are ready to complete the Closing Disclosure

Overview of Registration Process
The registration process is a two part process that must be followed through entirely. Failing to do so may cause failure of the order(s) being delivered from the Lenders. Important Notes:
1. A Company location only needs to be registered once. This will be known as the Provider. a. Once registered, the company will appear in the Lenders database. Please note some Lenders do require
specific terms to be part of their managed vendor list. Please see Lender of choice for more details.
2. Individual Agents: a. May be added to the database of an already registered company. Contact the administrator of the company
location to initiate the steps of adding additional users. b. May be invited by a Lender but must take all the registration steps to register the company.
Here is an overview of the process:
Read Before Proceeding
Black Knight requires any vendor that would like to participate in managing Title and/or Closing orders with the Lender
community who participates in using Closing Insight, to register a company location so they can be part of a secure database.
This process only needs to be completed once. Thereafter, the Provider will remain in the database.
There are two ways a Provider may begin the process of registering with Black Knight:
1. Lenders may invite a Provider they have never done business with before, to register, so that they can manage the
order(s) through the Exchange system.
a. This requires the company location be registered first. If you are a Provider who received an email invitation
from a Lender, please ensure you have proper permission rights to register the company location before
proceeding.
b. Taking these steps will automatically provide administrative rights. Click here to proceed.
2. Providers may be proactive and register themselves with Black Knight. Click here to begin the registration
process.

Lender Invited Initial Steps
When Lenders create a new order for Title and Closing, the Title and/or Closing Provider must be selected for routing of the
new order to take place. If the Provider is not listed, the Lender may initiate an invitation to register with Black Knight. Once
this entire process is complete, the Title and/or Closing order will then be routed to the Provider.
Reminder: Individual Agents require a company to be registered first. Once the company is registered, the agent may then
be added to the database as an individual user.

Provider Self Registering Initial Steps
Providers can register to be part of the Closing Insight community at any time. Once the Provider completes the registration
process they will remain in the database and will be searchable in the Lenders search results when they place a new order.
IMPORTANT: Each Lender may have specific requirements to be part of a managed vendor list. Please see Lender of choice
for questions on that process.
Individual Agent(s) who work for a company that has already completed the registration, do not need to take these steps. The
Administrator of that office location may add additional users at any time through their personal administrative website.
To initiate the self-registration process,
go to www.closinginsight.com.
Click the Register Now button.
Complete all the required fields denoted with a red asterisk.
The Primary Contact will automatically be given the Administrator
role which includes access to an administrative website.
When ready, click on the Submit button.
Look for an email invitation to continue the registration process.
Primary Contact entered in previous step will receive an email
invitation with a link to continue the process.
Click the New User link when ready.

Remainder of the Registration Steps
Once the New User link is clicked, the registration process officially begins. Administrator MUST COMPLETE THE ENTIRE
PROCESS to be considered officially registered with Black Knight AND for the routing of the orders to take place.

Software Company: This is your company’s internal software platform. This will direct
Black Knight to ensure we integrate Exchange and Closing Insight within the systems you
already use today.
Please see the software company for training on Closing Insight. Contact and training
information for each software company is available here.
If the software company does not appear in the list or you are unsure, you may select
RealEC Web. This means you will use the Exchange website to participate in Closing
Insight.
Once saved, you will not be able to make any changes.

Appendix
End Users
Any additional users you entered during this process should now receive an automated email from RealEC
Technologies/Black Knight.
This is an invitation email that will provide web links for the user to begin their own personal registration process. The users
will be required to take similar steps as you did in steps 1-8 above.
In addition, upon the user acknowledging the User Access Agreement, they will move from Pending to Active status in the
Users tab. You may monitor the registration status in the Administrative website.
Description of End Users Access Permissions
As mentioned in Step 18 above, you will need to assign permissions for each user you are providing access.
The information you will see listed for permissions is driven by the Software Company that was selected during the registration
process. Below are details of each permission only if the selection was for Exchange Website.
Closing Insight Amend: Allows user to respond to analytics within Closing Insight. No edit rights, can view data.
Closing Insight Edit: Allows user full access to Closing Insight functions
Closing Insight View: Allows user to access Closing Insight, but view only rights within the page
Exchange Order Access All*: Has access to view all orders for their company/branch when logged in Exchange
Exchange Order Access My*: Restricts user to viewing only orders assigned to their user name.
Exchange Order Edit – Allows the user to accept and edit orders as needed, all functions allowed such as adding
events, adding documents, etc.
Closing Insight Amend: Allows user to respond to analytics within Closing Insight. No edit rights, can view data.
Closing Insight Edit: Allows user full access to Closing Insight functions
Closing Insight View: Allows user to access Closing Insight, but view only rights within the page
Admin: All access and rights to the Exchange, all access and rights to Closing Insight
* Exchange Order Access All or My is view only access and must be combined with Exchange Order Edit in order for
user to view and edit orders. This does not apply to Closing Insight permissions. However, if the user is

If you received an email invitation and are already an administrator and user of the Exchange system, thank you and we
apologize for any confusion this invitation may have caused. You do not need to begin a new registration, Black Knight has
implemented an Existing RealEC Account link for your convenience.
Click the Existing RealEC Account link to be redirected to the administrative web pages.
Enter existing login credentials.
From the drop down, you will
see all the Party ID’s that you
have access.
Select <New Party> to register
a new branch.
Click Continue.
The remainder of the steps will
