The Program
The three-week 2019 Olympia Summer Dance Intensive program is for intermediate and advanced dancers. Students are divided into levels based upon ability, experience, and age. No audition is necessary.
The Intensive features faculty of the highest quality. Students receive personal attention in a positive and nurturing environment. All studios feature sprung dance floors and mirrors.
The program includes daily ballet technique classes with live piano accompaniment. Students then alternate between pointe/pre-pointe classes and stretch & strengthening. After lunch, students take two classes, rotating between jazz, modern, hip-hop, swing, imrovisation, and musical theater dance. On the Friday of each week, family and friends are invited to observe classes.
To fully maximize the intensive, it is recommended students attend for the entire three weeks. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
