It is a self financed institution run by Valliammai Society. This institution offersengineering UG Degree Courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, PG Degree Courses in Communication Systems, Computer Science & Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Power System Engineering, Structural Engineering, CAD/CAM, MCA & MBA. It is approved by the AICTE, accredited by the NBA, ‘A’ Grade Accreditation by NAAC and affiliated to the Anna University. The Department of 'Information Technology' was established in 1999. The Department has been functioning with a strength of about 360 students and 23 Staff members who are well qualified and experienced. The Department has well equipped laboratories with more than 245 computers with various softwares relevant to the industry. Our placement records are outstanding with students placed in various IT industries including TCS, CTS, Infosys, HCL, Wipro, Accenture, New Gen, L&T, SATYAM and CAROTOR to name a few.

NCRTCI'18 creates platform for the exposure and sharing of the knowledge of the academicians, researchers, industry professionals and learners from various colleges, the research institutions and industries. The topics to be discussed in this Conference Proceedings will provide an insight in the pursuit of knowledge for the progress of the research activities.

The Department of 'Computer Applications' wasestablished in 2002. In order to meet the ever growing and wide ranging Hi‐Tech Industrial demands in the current decade, particularly in the 'IT related areas and in the computer aided applications, our Institution had planned to commence this specialized master's program, MCA, in 2002. As on date, the Department has successfully turned out thirteen batches of talented professional post‐graduates serving in prestigious organizations and MNCs including TCS, CTS, Infosys, HCL, Wipro, and Accenture to name a few.
