AMENDMENTS TO THE REGION POLICY MANUAL. Note. Deletions of text will be indicated by strikeout. Additions of text will be indicated by italic text. Section 5, Finance and Treasury, of the Region Policy Manual is amended as follows: 5.1 Each chapter shall transmit region dues in the amount of fifty cents ($0.50) one dollar ($1.00) per active member listed on the Charter Reaffirmation of the current year. These dues must be postmarked no later than November 15 of the current year and are to be transmitted to the Region Finance Chair. Checks are to be made payable to “Alpha Phi Omega Region X.” 5.1.1 Dues collected shall be forwarded by the Region Finance Chair to the National Office for deposit into the region’s account. 5.1.2 Fifty cents ($0.50) per active member of the dues are to be earmarked for the purpose of funding the Regional Service Grant. Section 6, Regional Service Grant, is added to the Region Policy Manual. All subsequent sections are to be renumbered accordingly. 6.1 There is hereby established the Regional Service Grant, whose purpose is to provide needed funding to the chapters of Region X for service projects benefiting youth. 6.2 The Region Service Grant shall be funded using the following three methods: 6.2.1 Fifty cents ($0.50) per active member of the region dues from each chapter. 6.2.2 An increase of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per person in section/region conference fees. 6.2.3 Fundraisers as necessary to supplement the funding from sections 6.2.1 and 6.2.2. 6.3 The Region Service Grant shall be administered by the Region Service Committee, or by an ad hoc committee as determined by the Region Director. 6.3.1 The grant(s) shall be awarded in the fall term each year. 6.3.2 Any chapter in good standing in Region X may apply for the Regional Service Grant. Chapters that have received grants from the Fraternity, such as the Youth Service Grant, may apply for the grant, but priority will be given to those chapters that have not received a Fraternity grant. 6.3.3 The committee will create the application, establish the criteria for grant approval, and determine how much money will be available for grants, subject to approval of the Region Director 6.4 Any chapter receiving a Regional Service Grant must create a written report containing a summary of the project planning, the budget, and results of the project’s execution. 6.4.1 All reports must be completed on a date to be determined by the committee, with the approval of the Region Director.

standing in the region until the report is turned in, and will be ineligible for a Region Service Grant for the

next year.
