� POPs Project Component 2: RM focuses on developing a toolkit to guide decision-makers in health risk based management of POPs and POPs-like chemicals.
� The Toolkit will provide guidance on:
1. evaluating health risks based on
standardized guidelines; and
2. developing strategies for the
management of these risks, and cost
and benefits of alternatives.

� Approach to a web-based POPs toolkit was discussed at Launch Workshop on April 4, 2008;
� Designed for users with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience;
� Content was developed from July – October 2008;
� Internal specialist reviewers;
� User consultation – Oct 08 – Jan 09;
� World Bank (Washington DC) presentation (May 09)
� Improvements (Jan – Jul 09); and
� Training workshop and evaluation (Jan 09).

� Agreement from World Bank (Washington DC) to host Toolkit in its final form
� The toolkit will be online accessible through
www.popstoolkit.com for the foreseeable future
� The toolkit will move from Hatfield’s server to the World
Bank server by Sept 2009.
