Mutual Recognition: Develop departmental level student exchanges for professional education 1
Credit Transfer: Use the concept of ACTFA-CTS for credit transfer
2
Grade Transfer: Most difficult issue, but will be solved soon in the future (by ACTFA’ future tool)
3
Supporting Mechanism: Must establish an “International Office” at each university for student mobility and also improve transparency of educational activities (information Package)
4
Future Challenges for 4 Pillars of ACTFA
Implementation plan
Kick-off Meeting of the ACTFA Projects organized on 9 July 2015 at
Vientiane, Lao PDR
National Workshops in the GMS Countries on how to implement ACTFA
Analysis implemented by
universities
Share the result of analysis to university community
Analysis/Comparison of the national CTS and ACTFA
*Feedback and recommendations from
universities will be developed. **Future step is to seek endorsement of
member countries to adopt the framework
at national level.
E-learning and Mobile Learning
SEAMEO RIHED collaborates with SEAMOLEC to initiate an e-learning project which applies technology to support the development of e-
courses that allowing HEIs to share educational resources. At this initial stage, the e-course will be developed based on the existing AIMS university
network, focusing firstly on the field of
Hospitality and Tourism
ASEAN Research Cluster (ARC) and ASEAN Citation Index (ACI)
Proposed model, management system and establishment plan of
the ARC were presented by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), Thailand.
Research areas, namely Health and Medicine, Environment and
Biodiversity, Agriculture and Food, and Social Science
Working mechanism of the ASEAN Citation Index can be a model to move other regional initiative forward, including
ASEAN Research Cluster. The development of the ACI will
help improving quality of research work and
collaboration in SEA.
The Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Centre serves as ACI Coordinating
Centre since 2010
Working Mechanism of ACI Steering Committee, ACI Subcommittee
and Local Citation Committee
Were Defined and Agreed in 2013
