It was l a t e r a l l e g e d to EPA that theb o r e h o l e s had not been g r o u t e d .O n M a y 7 , 1985, F I T members L l o y d C o l l i n s a n d B i l l P a r k t r a v e l e d t o M i d l a n dP r o d u c t s i n O l a , A r k a n s a s t o i n s p e c t t h e t w o b o r e h o l e s . D u r i n g a w a l k i n g tourof the s i t e , i t was observed tha t in one b o r e h o l e the grout had s e t t l e d one f o o tseven i n c h e s b e l o w t h e s u r f a c e . T h i s h o l e w a s f i l l e d w i t h sackre t e a n d a s t a k ewas d r i v e n i n t o t h e ground t o mark th e l o c a t i o n o f t h e b o r e h o l e .
