Graphic Design ~ PC Game Cover Reflection By Kako Mori I chose ‘ The Mystery’ for my game cover title, and the sub title is ‘The case of survival fear.’ I chose to design a mystery game cover because I really like mystery games, books, and TV series. Firstly, I got a wii template. Then I used a font for the Title, which I got from a free font site called ‘dafont’. Then I started working on the left side of my cover, which is the back of my cover if is folded. I used an old castle to show the setting of the game. Then I rendered other minor characters that are going to appear, in black. And I made a box around those rendered images, to make it clear to see. For rendering I used the Pen tool to get the outline, then I will it in with solid color.

Graphic  Design  ~  PC  Game  Cover  Reflection

By  Kako  Mori

I  chose  ‘  The  Mystery’  for  my  game  cover  title,  and  the  sub  title  is  ‘The  case  of  survival  fear.’  I  chose  to  design  a  mystery  game  cover  because  I  really  like  mystery  games,  books,  and  TV  series.

Then  it  became  like  this.  I  made  a  brief  explanation  of  the  story  of  the  game,  under  the  rendered  images.

After  finishing  the  design  of  the  left  side  of  the  cover,  I  started  to  work  on  the  main  side,  which  is  the  right  side.  I  used  a  picture  of  an  old  door  and  a  window,  for  the  background.  In  the  front,  I  used  a  drawing  of  a  woman  detective  that  I  drew.  Firstly,  I  drew  the  character  on  a  paper,  and  I  used  the  scanner  to  scan.  Then  I  traced  over  on  photoshop  by  using  the  brush  and  pencil  tool.

Then  I  colored  in  the  clothes  and  made  the  lines  more  clear  for  last  touches.

Inside  the  window  of  thebackground,  I  used  rendering  once  again  to  show  a  woman  about  to  get  killed,  in  red.  I  decided  to  use  red  to  show  how  scary  it  is.

Finally  I  used  dafont  to  make  the  letters  for  the  sub  title.
