  1. 1. I have known Joanna Hall in both a personal and professional capacity for some 10 years. Joanna has built up a wide range of experience and expertise in all aspects of the Hotelier and Catering trade. Her strong analytical mind and excellent communication skills allied to her ability to build relationships with clients are very apparent. Joannas drive, vision and ability to manage the responsibilities and operational duties of a small business have resulted in a marked improvement in the profitability for many of the clients who have availed of her services. Shaun Killough Retired Bank Manager with 40 years service. "Having known Joanna and the Hall family for over twenty years I am delighted to take this opportunity to endorse Joanna. Joanna and her family established " Glassdrumman Lodge" as a Hotel of note in rural County Down. The service and quality of product offered were recognised World Wide. Residents and Diners came from as far away USA and as near as Belfast. Joanna worked front of house and was a very special Host, on arrival you were always greeted by a warm welcome and exacting attention to detail. Her personal attention to all guests needs lead to a truly memorable visit. she certainly left an impression on all she came in contact with and ensured the Hotel had a substantial return client. I wish Joanna success in whatever she undertakes and can assure any future client that they will be dealing with a very detailed - oriented customer focused person. John D Toner" (Strategic Advisor Great National Hotels & Resorts: Retired Director & General Manager Hastings Hotels (1976-2013). I have known Joanna for approximately 12 years as both a colleague and personal acquaintance. Inside this time Joanna was in my employment for 4 years. She has an excellent track record and is well known in the catering circles of Co. down for her ability, initiative and persistence. Her reputation stems from her upbringing in her families hotel, Glassdrumman Lodge which operates at a 5 star level of service and is known both locally and further afield for excellence. It was my extreme good fortune to have been able to have had Joanna in my employment for so long. She ran and improved my restaurant and gave me a platform to grow and move forward. With no doubt, without Joanna's help I would not be where I am today. It is my opinion that Joanna has an eye for identifying potential problems in the restaurant trade and being able to provide straight forward solutions effectively. Her skill in staff training is one of the highest order and she can convey instructions to others in a way which is understood and retained. Joanna is a person of the highest intellect and strong study ethic I have observed her to be very well organised and assertive. Joanna is in my opinion, well placed to make a positive contribution to any cafe/restaurant, either existing or new venture.
  2. 2. I would whole heartedly strongly recommend you to employ her services. Nicky Pell (Owner Niki's Kitchen Cafe) I have been in business for some 40 years and have been privileged to know Joanna for her entire life. I have been in a position to watch her grow and work in many business situations. I have been impressed on many occasions on her application and hard work. In some ways more importantly I have seen her management skills in operation. She has an ability to see how a situation may be organised and operated efficiently and also has the people skills to actually make it happen. I have no reservation in recommending her to any future employer. Roly Fleming ( Owner, Fleming Properties, Spain). "Joanna has a rare talent. She combines a sharpness of mind with a warmth of personality that makes her a pleasure to work with. Her abilities are rare and reflect a childhood of growing in and through her family business. Her tacit knowledge cant be taught and her experience comprises every element of successfully running a hospitality business. I am delighted to see her offer her skills in helping others to develop and grow their businesses. I am confident that you will enjoy having her work with you, even if it is for just a short period of time, and that you will be sorry to see her go. Clifford McSpadden CEO
