The online giant Amazon opened Europe's most modern logistics centre in Dortmund. Over 1,600 new jobs were created on an area of around 50,000 m2 . Under great time pressure and not the slightest margin for error, more than 400 skilled workers were often at work - including subcontractors. Our subpartners were involved in several areas at once, starting with conveyor technology, electrical installations and ventilation installations.

At Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH in Zwickau, West Saxony, a total of 5 electricians from our sub-partner were on duty. The project lasted for 3 weeks and the subcontractors' tasks included the installation of a cable duct as well as the pulling and connecting of the cables according to the circuit diagrams and instructions of the senior fitter. In addition, an existing control cabinet was moved.

Activities Welding work for conveyor systems

For the project "automation technology" our subcontractors were used for the discounter and food retailer Lidl. At the West Virginia and North Carolina locations, a total of 70 men worked on conveyor systems, primarily welding work was carried out.
