3. Evaporator Separator Vessel support frame to be supplied by Buyer and support trunnions and lugs to be supplied by Seller.
4. This equipment is located in an R4 radiation area (Maximum Radiation Area), which is designed to have a target radiation level of less than 25 mrem/hr (Ref. 5, Table 5-1). The average contact dose rate is 6.56E+01 rad/hr for an equipment life of 21+ years (Ref. 6, Table 8-1).
5. See Ref. 1 for connecting piping sizes and end connections. 6. Ref. 2 gives the evaporator operating pressure as 1.45 psia. This is converted to psig by subtracting 14.35. Since this
is an external pressure on the vessel, the negative sign is not needed. 7. DEP-EVAP-00001 is designed with provisions for 2-inch thickness of heat conservation (HC) insulation. The top head
insulation is Expanded Perlite (Density= 13 lb/ft3), the bottom head insulation is Mineral Fiber Blanket (Density= 8 lb/ft3), and the shell insulation is Mineral Fiber Semi Rigid Board (Density = 8 lb/ft3). The insulation is provided and installed under an insulation subcontract.
8. Ref. 7 is the sizing calculation for the CNP evaporator. Ref. 3 confirms the CNP evaporator design will meet the requirements for the DEP design.
9. Ref. 2 provides evaporator feed and concentrate product flow rates. To calculate net boil-off rate, use equation: Net Boil-off (gpm) = Feed Flow (gpm) - Concentrate Product Flow (gpm).
