E) List of patents

1) Integrated tunable laser device with tuning structure [in Japanese] Inventors: Mitsuo Maeda, Yuji Oki, Nilesh Vasa, Seo Tokuyama Japanese patent application number: 2001-088809, Year 2001 Abstract: Compact, tunable, distributed-feedback solid-state dye laser was developed with a novel-tuning configuration. Traditionally, angle of the interfering pump-beam was required to be altered for the tuning operation. Rotating the solid-state dye doped substrate along with a reflecting mirror located on the same tuning stage attained wavelength tuning. Fast, automatic tuning operation was made possible.

2) Stable operation technique for tunable laser and stable tunable laser device [in Japanese] Inventors: Mitsuo Maeda, Nilesh Vasa, Seo Tokuyama, Tamura Seiaku Japanese patent application number: 2001-088810, Year 2001 Abstract: In a compact, distributed-feedback solid-state dye laser stable output can be obtained by using interfering pump beams with polarization state perpendicular to the incidence plane of the laser chip-set.
