LOCATION Gunwalloe Church Cove is situated on the beautiful and picturesque Lizard Peninsula, the southern most tip of England, Gunwalloe faces south west into Mounts Bay enjoying the best of the daily sun and comprises a long strip of sandy beach providing excellent bathing and surfing under certain conditions. To the north west, lies an interesting geographical feature called Loe Pool and Bar which is an inland fresh water lagoon separated from the sea by a narrow sand spit on which semi precious stones can be found on occasion. The South West Coastal Footpath provides beautiful walks to the north west following the coast, passing local beaches at Praa Sands and Kenneggy, eventually culminating in the village of Marazion and the town of Penzance. To the south lie beautiful beaches at Poldhu Cove and Mullion Cove the latter also having an excellent golf course. Helston is the nearest town providing a wide array of leisure, commercial and retail facilities with the towns of Falmouth to the east and Penzance to the west providing further facilities and both have main line stations providing a direct link to London Paddington with approximate travel time of 4½ hours.
