    Introduction

RedTacton is a new Human Area networking technology

that uses the surface of the human body as a safe, high

speed network transmission path. RedTacton uses the

minute electric field generated by human body as medium

    for transmitting the data.

    RedTacton

RedTacton is a technology developed by JapaneseCompany NTT(Nippon Telephonic Telegraphic), whichclaims it can send data over the surface of the skin atspeed of up to 10 Mbps equivalent to a fast broadbanddata connection.

The name chosen for this technology is derived fromTacton meaning Action Triggered by Touchingcombined with Red, which in Japanese culture is anauspicious of warmth and love, to convey the cordialityand warmth of interpersonal communications.

RedTacton takes a different technical approach insteadof relying on electromagnetic waves or light waves tocarry data, RedTacton uses weak electric fields on thesurface of the body as a transmission medium

    Principal of RedTacton

Physically separating ends the contact and thus

    ends communication Using RedTacton.

    RedTacton can achieve duplex communication

over the human body at a maximum speed of 10

    Mbps.

    Human Safety

The transmitting and receiving electrodes of theRedtacton transceiver are completely covered withinsulating film , so the body of the person acting as thetransmission medium is completely insulated. This

makes it impossible for the current to flow into a personsbody from the transceiver.

When communication occurs, displacement current isgenerated by the electrons in the body because the bodyis subjected to minute electrical fields. However, suchdisplacement currents are very common everydayoccurrences to which we are all subjected.

    1.TOUCH

    Communication with

    just a touch or step.

    Devices are linked invarious combinations

    through physical

    contact according to

    the humans natural

    movements .

    2.BroadBand & Interactive

Duplex, interactive communication is possible at a maximum speedof 10Mbps.

As the transmission path is on the surface of the body, it does notdeteriorate in congested areas.

Device drivers can be downloaded instantly and execute programscan be sent. Which ultimately saves the time.

    3.Any Media

CONDUCTOR (signals travel along the surface of the material)

DIELECTRIC (signals pass through material surface)

In addition to the human body, various conductors and dielectrics can be

    used as transmission media

    Practical Application

Firmo Firmo kit is used as an

    alternative to short-Range

    wireless security card

    entrance/exit systems.

    NTT claims Firmo

    provides a higher degree

    of security than othertechnologies.
