birthday.

Introduction

Welcome to RedShift Radio, part of RedShift Media Services which launched in September

2010 broadcasting on the internet to “Cheshire and Beyond”. At RedShift Radio we have

quickly established ourselves as a unique multi-faceted advertising platform. We have over

3,500 social media followers, 300+ listeners a day and excellent links with businesses

and community groups across Crewe and surrounding towns through our networking

organisation “The Hub”.

Our ultimate aim is to deliver a full-time Community FM radio to Crewe and

surrounding towns to help raise the profile of our area and improve communications

between all sectors of the community. Now entering Phase Three of our business plan

we are launching a new range of sponsorship packages some of which include an

option to join our RedShift Radio Steering Group in preparation for full time FM.

All of our daytime shows are hosted by small business owners which means in return for

using the RedShift platform to promote themselves they are exceptionally loyal and pro-

active at promoting us and our sponsors through their networking channels. This means you

are immediately buying into a group of over 40 people from all walks of life who will work

hard to promote you and your business.

Over the next few pages you will find a detailed breakdown of our sponsorship and

advertising opportunities that are well worth grabbing prior to our second 28-day test

licence on FM planned for November when the prices will rise considerably.


Sponsorship Opportunities

We offer four types of package:

• Show sponsor• Feature Sponsor• Adverts• Top Sponsor.

Bespoke and short term packages can be created but we prefer to guarantee our sponsors a good R.O.I over a minimum term of 16 weeks.

Show Sponsorship Only

This option is ideal if your product or service is directly appealing to one specific

audience. Most of our shows are two hours long each week and each of the following

packages will include:

• A professionally voiced jingle played at least six times in a two-hour show and a few

times a week to promote the show.

• Your jingle available to hear on the show page on the website.

• Your preferred contact details/website/Facebook page tweeted to our 3,500 social

media followers weekly.

• Opportunity to be a monthly guest on yours and other shows.

• “Sponsors Round Up” feature on each show with your news, offers and events.

Feature Sponsorship

The sponsorship of three features a week is an ideal option if your product or service appeals to listeners of more than two of our shows. Examples of features could be:

“The Recipe of the Week” broadcast on The Good Life, European Lunch and Tuck-In Tuesday.

“Homework Helpers” broadcast on three of our school-presented shows

“Entertainment Guide” broadcast on Act Natural, Scarlet Ladies and Saturday Hangover.

Each jingle includes your company name, strap line and one method of contact.

All packages include RedShift Hub Membership for the term of your package. Hub membership includes a monthly networking event and a page

Adverts

Adverts are approximately 30-seconds in length. The adverts are placed into the schedule using our knowledge of our listener base and your target audience.

You can have as many changes to your advert as you wish during your term, each change costing £70 production fee (allow at least a two week lead time from script to production please).

Top Sponsorship Packages

One of the main strengths that Ofcom look for when issuing Community FM licences is the range of solid and on-going support from a wide spectrum of the community. Local businesses are instrumental in this as funding the launch and running costs of a community station are in the region of £160,000-£200,000 per annum and only 50% of this can come from on-air advertising and sponsorship.

Currently, there are eight Top Sponsors packages available and these offer maximum exposure across all areas of RedShift including certain sections of the website, stationary and jingles etc.

As with all of our packages, the Top Sponsorship packages can vary according to needs. For instance, you may want to sponsor the Business shows, the van and have an advert... we can negotiate the best price for you to do this.

By becoming a Top Sponsor you are invited to join the quarterly Steering Group meetings and assist the founders of RedShift Radio as we apply for a full-time FM community licence in January 2013.Package Annual Investment

I joined RedShift Radio as a guest on the Teachers' slot on Sunday 17th April. During the two hours we discussed exam stress and revision tips for learners entering the GCSE exam season.

We will be launching 5,000 copies of our 16-page Birthday Booklet in September. All

show sponsors will have a free logo placement on the show that they sponsor. Advertisers

and sponsors are invited to purchase a quarter, half or full page advert with a 25% discount.

Balance for printed booklet must be paid in full by 21st August

and prices range from £80 - £400+vat.


In addition to providing an internet broadcasting service, we also have the RedShift Hub

which is our business and community networking organisation.

As a RedShift Hub member you will receive:

• A page of web space with plenty of room for photos, logo's and links to your

website(s).

• Invites to Hub events on the last Thursday of every month

• Promotion through social media and mentions on the radio

• First refusal for guest appearances when a guest is sought your field.

It’s brilliant for people who are new to business networking or who may be a little bit shy or fearful of the whole experience. It is relaxed and informal with just the right amount of structure and ‘short talks’.
