Electric flow boilersRedring electric flow boilers provide wet central heating (and domestic hot waterif required) and are ideal for homes and light commercial premises.They are ideal for use in areas with no mains gas supply and offer the convenience of electric heating combinedwith the comfort and controllability of conventional central heating. They can also be installed in place of boilersusing oil, bottled gas or solid fuel or as an alternative to electric storage heating.

Powerstream boilers are suitable for use with sealed or open vented heating systems and with underfloor heating.

They require no external flue and are easily fitted in confined spaces such as kitchen cupboards or airingcupboards without an external wall. They are 99% efficient and users benefit from the fact that they require noannual servicing or safety check.

When supplied with electricity from renewable sources on a ‘green’ tariff they provide a totally sustainable sourceof heating and hot water.

Redring Powerstream AscariWhen it comes to style and performance, the Powerstream Ascari electric boilerleads the field.By incorporating an integral circulation pump and expansion vessel in the one unit, the Powerstream Ascari looksincredibly stylish and can be installed on display on a wall or in a kitchen cupboard.

It has a sophisticated control system which maximises energy efficiency at 99% by minimising energy inputand on/off cycling of the boiler. The built in 5-litre hot water storage tank also allows for a rapid response tochanging demands.

The Powerstream Ascari is an advanced ‘one fits all’ electric boiler solution as the kW rating of the one model canbe configured from 4 to 12kW’s depending on your requirements. The Powerstream Ascari also comes completewith a soft touch control panel and LED digital display that provides the user with information on the boiler statusand allows for the programming of many functions quickly and easily.

Intelligent ControlThe Powerstream Ascari boiler has been designed to provide the highest temperature stability and energyconsumption possible from an electric boiler. Its 5 litre storage and high thermal mass reduce system cooling,while its electronic temperature and auto-adaptability function keep the room at a stable temperature using theleast amount of electrical energy.

The optional outside temperature sensor allows the boiler to quickly adapt to the external temperatures,increasing heat output on cooler days and reducing energy on warmer days, keeping temperature and energycompletely under control.

Running CostsThe Powerstream Ascari boiler is fitted with an auto-adaptability function that operates the central heating systemaccording to the heat characteristics of the property, minimising energy consumption and running costs. TheAscari is designed for use with extended hours off-peak tariffs. Please ask your energy supplier for details ofoptimum tariffs.

Redring Powerstream ProfessionalOur entry level electric flow boiler is the 99% efficient and excellent valuePowerstream Professional.Depending on your property size and heating system, you can choose the correct Powerstream Professional tomeet your needs as there are seven models available in the range – with kW ratings from 2 to 12kW’s.

Suitable for use with a wide range of different heating systems, all Powerstream Professional models can provide awater output temperatures from 30OC to 90OC, meaning they can be combined with underfloor heating andstandard radiators. You can even keep your existing thermostatic radiator valves, room thermostats andprogrammers to provide central heating that gives high levels of comfort and control.

All Powerstream Professional boilers require an external pump and expansion vessel to be fitted as part ofthe installation, which makes them ideal for ‘out of sight’ installations – for example in an airing cupboardor utility room.

TechnicalFilling LoopThe Powerstream Ascari is not fitted with a filling loop. Any fillingloop being fitted should comply with the Water Supply (waterfittings) Regulations 1999 Section G24.1 and G24.2. A filling loopshould be fitted at some point to allow the CH system to be filled.

Parallel OperationFor larger properties, multiple boilers may be installed in parallel.

Hot Water StorageAsk for the Redring Aqualoy LWSS 2304 Duplex Stainless Steelwater storage heaters that provide effective, fast and safe hotwater for baths, showers and other domestic appliances aroundany property. For use with direct and indirect heating applicationsthe Aqualoy LWSS cylinders are a high quality vessel employingthe best in tig welding technology, the LWSS range also featureshigh flow rates and energy efficient insulation.

Heating and domestic hot waterRedring recommend to use a direct electric unvented cylinder for the production and storage of the hot water as this is cheaper than an indirect cylinder,requires less plumbing (pipes and valves) and is more thermally efficient.

When using the boiler for unvented hot water and heating, the two-port motorised valve should be inserted in the flow from the boiler.A Differential Pressure Valve should be connected between the flow and return at a point between the boiler and the two-port motorised valve.

NBhe Redring Powerstream Professional flow boiler is ideal for providing water to a domestic /light commercial wet centralheating system. Where it is intended for use to provide hot water as well, it may be that an alternative direct source of heat is required,eg: immersion heater. This is to ensure compliance with NHBC guidelines and to provide hot water at all times.

NB2The Redring Powerstream Professional flow boiler requires fitment of a circulating pump for underfloor and central heatingapplications. In the case of unvented applications an expansion kit will be required. UK manufactured in a BS EN ISO 9001:2000registered factory.
