Rediscovering Me Clubhouse is an afterschool program

servicing youth with prior or current substance

abuse/use issues.

Our mission is to foster the growth and development of

youth involved with substance use/abuse. We provide a

safe, drug-free environment that will highlight individual

strengths and build upon them so that the youth may lead

productive lives through recovery coaching and

engagement in positive enrichment activities.

Who are we?

Rediscovering Me Clubhouse is an affiliate of

Chesapeake Center for Youth Development, Inc. This

after school program was made possible through a

government funded grant passed down to AA County

Department of Health and awarded to Chesapeake

Center for Youth Development, Inc.

The clubhouse was established in February of 2013.

How did we evolve?

Must be between the ages of 12-17 years old (18 yr olds accepted if still attending High School)

Live in Anne Arundel County

Have a regular or re-occurring substance use/abuse issue

Have a desire to gain skills that will uncover the leaders within

Requirements for Youth:

Transportation

Homework / Educational Assistance

Recreational Activities

(Basketball, Ping Pong, Pool, Video Games, Football)

Substance Abuse Education

Vocational Training (Job Readiness)

Life Skills Training

(Cooking, Decision Making, Financial Preparation)

Peer Support Groups

Field Trips

Service Learning Hours

Assessments and Referrals

What we offer:

Walk In Registration (You do not need a referral to walk in)

Youth will be assessed by our peer support specialist to

determine acceptance before being registered.

Registration forms may be filled out on site by parents or taken

home and brought back by youth.

Youth ages 12-15 are required to have parents complete the

registration form. However, youth ages 16+ may chose to sign

for themselves with forgoing any transportation privileges.

Under any circumstances will the Clubhouse transport youth

without parent approval.

Program Registration:

Monday-Friday

3pm-7 pm (School Year)

12pm -5pm (Summer Hours Starting in July)

Every other Saturday

12pm-4pm

Times may change for special occasions

Hours of Operation:

If you know of a youth that fits our program criteria,

pass on our information to them and/or their

parents.

If you have contacts that work within the Human

Service Field (AACPS, Dept. of Juvenile Svcs, Social

Services, Treatment Facilities, Non-Profit

Organizations) Pass on our information- they may

know of a youth that could benefit from our program!
