We have had several events and with the hard work of our Directors, they all have been a success. On November 7th the Red Springs Annual Chamber Dinner was held at Red Springs Presbyterian Church. This event is provided to our membership and the surrounding community as a way of celebrating the accomplishments of the Chamber, its members and the community it serves. I can honestly say this event was a success. We had a full house and the evening went well. The keynote speaker for this event was Mark Reif of Mountaire Farms in Lumber Bridge, NC. Mark is the NC Community Relations Manager for Mountaire Farms. He was also the recipient of the Waverly S. Barham Award. That award, given since 1978, is given to an individual, group or organization who has given tremendous support in contributions to the community of Red Springs in the past year. Mark was very deserving of this award and we were proud to present it to him. The Appearance Commission of Red Springs had 3 awards to present. The first award was to Mrs. Trula McKeithan for her dedication and service, more than 30 years, to the beautification of our town. The Business of the Year Award was given to Taqueria Leon Mexican Grill. The owners of this business has done an awesome job uplifting the appearance of the restaurant. The Most Improved Home of the Year Award went to Ken and Sue McColl for all of the improvements they have done to their home. We have some pictures from the dinner inside this newsletter. On November 9th, the Red Springs Rotary Club held their 25th Annual Toy Run. There were lots of bikers who participated and there will be children made extremely happy on Christmas Day. On November 16th, the Chamber had a ribbon-cutting for a new business in town. We welcome Level Up Barber Shop and Beauty Salon. There was much support for the grand opening of this business. Pictures are inside the newsletter. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Be blessed and be safe!
