Alzheimer's Association Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala CHICAGO (April 4, 2011) – A Mother’s Day weekend tradition for more than twenty years, the 24th annual Alzheimer's Association Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala will take place at the Hilton Chicago (720 S. Michigan Ave.), Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, daughter of Hollywood legend Rita Hayworth, will be in Chicago to serve as General Chair. Khan founded the Alzheimer's Association Rita Hayworth Galas to honor her mother, who lived with Alzheimer’s disease for many years before her death in 1987. The Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala theme is Cover Girl, a homage to the glamorous Hollywood icon. Tickets start at $500 per person and $5,000 per table. Funds raised will benefit the Alzheimer's Association care, support and research programs. To date, the Rita Hayworth Galas in Chicago and New York have contributed more than $55 million to the Alzheimer's Association mission. Both Michael Kors stores will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from this evening’s net sales to the Alzheimer's Association. This event, was opened to the public, in honor of the upcoming Rita Hayworth Gala, benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association on May 7 at the Hilton Chicago.
